There's a big difference betweem a 3.5 hour walk and a "3.5hr walk".

Instead of dreaming up these stupid ideas they should sorting out the existing walks, fairly.

Alot of fiddling went on when we went to one delivery in my office, the full timers "sorted" out the new walks.

As a result, some of the guys in my work are doing walks that are 2-2.5 hrs whilst others including me are doing walks that are more like 3.5-4hrs, on the same sector.

If they're serious about changing to a 4hr delivery they better find a better way of evaluating the new walks so that everybody is delivering for the same amount of time.

I voted NO btw. We allready walk too far in terms of distance on delivery. If I'd wanted to march for 10 miles a day i would've joined the Army.

There must surely be walks longer than 3.5 hours for those who work 4 x 10 hr shifts - or am I missing something? I always thought it was a bad thing setting up different schemes in different offices - still ..............

I would do a 4 4.5 hour delivery - if we only worked 4 days rotation. This would mean a 18 hours delivery in total (without docket) for 4 dayers and 5 dayers would be 17.5 hours - so actually the amount of delivery time is roughly the same.

However, no way jose would I do a 4.5 hour walk on a 5 day static week = they could :lfo :cfo in that case.

Simple, don't do it! Your walk should be a MAXIMUM of 3.5hrs long, cut off and think of your health because RM won't.

Put the pedometer in the bin.
It was a waste of money.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Most of the walks in our office are over 3.5 hours even though the union rep says different
according to him every delivery is 3.5 hours even though after revision most were 4+ hours
mind you he has the easiest delivery in the office.
