I would suggest you read the d2d agreement, there is no set amount to be done each day, the opg is allowed to manage how he delivers d2d, as I have said, as long as no overtime is incurred due to it, he could do them all on a Monday if he wanted, and that would be in compliance with the d2d agreement
Would that not lead to scope for more during the rest of the week? Like one D2D all Monday and another Tuesday going on through the week so the call rate would be 100% yet the planing figurers would be less than 83% and with lapsing as well?

If the system was changed to 1 d2d per day to 100% then the planning figures would need to be changed as well, rm has not indicated they want this sort of system so why worry about it

0 d2d's is unheard of at my office we are bombarded with d2d's each and every week.

i have been led to believe that the delivery suppliment si what was rolled in after paying per item was rolled out and its based on hourage not actual workloads.

care to break down what you have been informed as to what the delivery suppliemnt is and if that does not cover d2d's what exactly does ?
It is nothing to do with D2D. End off.

The funds paying for the delivery supplement are partially funded by the old D2D money, but the payment has absolutely sod all to do with handling items of D2D mail. We no longer get a separate payment as they are now counted towards workload.
i have made workload BOLD,

as lugging around and delivering just as much d2d's as a ft and i get paid less is not fair.

nor is it fair that someone can work a 2 day week do 2/5 of the work and get paid the same delivery supliment.....

pretty dissapointed as d2d's are big business for royal mail.
Somebody on a 2 day week DOES NOT get the same supplement. It is based on their contracted hours (and is adjusted with overtime up to 39 hours). So if that person working 2 days is on a 16 hour week then they will receive 16/39 of the delivery supplement.

It doesn't matter how many D2D's you are lugging about. THE DELIVERY SUPPLEMENT IS NOTHING TO DO WITH DOOR TO DOOR MAIL.
forget about the d2d's explain how a pt postperosn who does a 5 day week does 5/6 of a weeks work and can get the same suppliment as someone who does a 2 day week doing 2/6's of a weeks worth of actual work on DELIVERY

Aaaaaargh!!! They don't. It isn't based on the amount of days you work. It is based on the amount of hours you work. The only way someone on a 2 day week would get the same delivery supplement is if they wormed the same hours as someone who worked the 5 days... For example person a) works 2x10 hour shifts = 20 hours, person b) works 5x4 hour shifts = 20 hours, therefore they work the equal amounts of hour and do equal amounts of delivery work, be it indoor or outdoor.

Just think of the delivery supplement as an additional ~60p per hour on the hourly rate up to a maximum of 39 hours, at which point it ceases! It doesn't matter what you do within that time, whether it be pounding the streets, prepping, working in the callers office - if you are tagged to a delivery office, then you are eligible to be paid the supplement pro-rata up to 39hours.

How difficult is this to comprehend, with the greatest of respect?

They would both get the same if they worked the same amount of hours in total

it's irrelevant how many of those hours are indoor or out on delivery, it's a supplement for working in a delivery office based on the number of hours you work in total

not difficult at all, however in my opinion its bull.

the hardest aspect of the job is the physical aspects the aspects that people will simply cut off , work to time, drag there feet so they get bits of there duties taken off as they cannot "physically" complete it...........

the walkers , those that are delivering mail, those that are doing there best to complete there duties who need to be rewarded, who need to be paid some form of suppliment for there hardwork......

delivery personal need there own supplement that is based on actual deliveries, actual walking and the psychical side of things.

also post people who drive share vans also need there own suppliment , why in other areas of the business do drivers get a suppliment and those on delivery do not get a dime?

anyway rant over, me venting on a forum will not lead to any change without it being fought by the masses....my voice is only a drop of water in the ocean.
