Unfortunately the standard contract for Royal Mail employees contains this

"..... and must advise Royal Mail of any other employment which you hold or intend to take"

so whilst I understand where you are coming from, if they ever found out and wanted to reduced the head count then dismissing you for breach of contract would be a relatively simple and cheap option.
