Can i just pause for thought for my last post, i do work with some fantastic, enthususiastic hard working, damn loyal union ethnic minorities who are without a doubt a tribute to the CWU an ROYALMAIL. I should have pushed the point that the Royal Mail centralisization of personnel has corrupted the quality of the Postal Worker. Some peeps get a job from 2 e-mails an a phonecall interview, no sorting test needed. This is why i agree that all recruits should not be entitled to sickleave before the first year. I used to see people do the training , then go sick for 3months. It used to make me even angrier that my reps would support them to but thats beside the point. I also see people get an RTU then have it squashed, to zero then rack up another 2 RTUs. FuK Me i got diabetes too, but i aint getting 75 days of a year mostly NEVER coinciding with their Thursday/Friday scheduled attendace. Cant also remember my last part sick but still, if RM employ them then we all suffer. In my office, the bonus scheme will never look attractive cause we pay so many people to sit at home sick whilst we get there duty on OT. Cant complain too much, i get 8hrs Satday OT most weeks because of thisl. If i aint moaning, i aint happy. Most rush, gonna post 3 litres of rough curry for the scab collections tomorow.

I'm beginning to think I'm on a chat site for managers :pray listen to yourselves. I work in a delivery office staffed by 50 hard-working postmen who each work with 49 other lazy ba*tards - if you're daft enough to believe them. I got Poles, Africans, west Indians, old blokes, youngsters, all sorts.BUT THEY ARE ALL IN THE SAME SH*T. Like I said look at who your real enemies are  There's a lot of fight in you lot and you are gonna need it and soon. Ever heard of divide and conquer?

I've got 24 years in, I've worked bloody hard to get a shift that I want to be on <15 years before I got it> and i work damn hard dragging 450kg cages about all bloody day and humping bags about, to say all senior men are lazy buggers is a bit of a broad sweeping statement. Most guys I've worked with in my time who have got the years in have bent over backwards to help me out when i've needed advice or help...You'll find no matter where you work they'll be lazy divs that pull srtokes on you or expect you to carry their load too, and get the arse when you point it out to them, and not all of them are senior men.

You've got a lot of anger, make sure it's directed at those that warrant it. ie... :lfo :cfo ...Sure a lot of people are unhappy with Wardy and Hayes, but the time for that anger to vented or directed towards the leadership is once this is setteled one way or the other...Don't let the two A's do what they want to do...DIvide and Conqeur, do that and they'll win everytime.

Yes we`re all in it together. I also work with all sorts, including many agency. There are some good union members at my place be it ethnic or otherwise. He did however make a valid point which in my opinion (based on my experience is all I can go on) I agree with. Don`t write off people as 'managers' or whatever just because they hold a certain point of view.

LETS GET BACK TO THE REAL ISSUE, EVERYBODY KNOWS WE DONT GET IT SO DO WHAT WE ARE DOING. WE HAVE STARTED TO ARRANGE A FUND RAISING EVENT TO SUBSIDIZE THE LOSS OF WAGES. WE ARE RUNNING A NIGHT AT THE RACES, WE HAVE ALREADY GOT 10 LOCAL COMPANIES TO SPONSER A RACE EACH AT £50 A RACE, THEN SELL THE HORSES AT £5 A GO, 6 HORSES IN A RACE, THATS £800 EVEN BEFORE THE PUNTERS HAVE A BET. GET IT GOING, ITS A GOOD MONEY SPINNER. JUST THINK WHAT THE strike breakers WILL SAY WHEN THEY FIND OUT THAT WE ARE CLAWING BACK SOME OF THE MONIES WE HAVE LOST TO THE I/A. IT HAS ALSO SHOWN US THAT THE LOCAL BUISNESS PEOPLE SUPPORT OUR ACTIONS.
