I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: meal breaks
Hi, Well it now seems that we are entitled to a meal break as you all said, my rep was'nt to sure where we stood on the meal breaks. Yes I am RM just a rolling 6 month or 3 month depending what comes through the post.
So it will be interesting to see which way this goes, because some of us have'nt taken a break since we started..though we would have to prove we did'nt I suppose?.
.
Anyway thanks for all your very positive replys.

Re: meal breaks
It's going to be difficult because you are not only going to have to prove that you didn't take a break but also that it wasn't your choice not to take/book your break.taptap wrote:.though we would have to prove we did'nt I suppose?.![]()
If someone decides themselves not to book half an hour's overtime a day for a year they can't just decide after 12 months they want the money back.
That means you are going to have to show that neither your manager or workplace coach if you had one informed you that you were entitled to a break.
You will need the help of your branch but the fact that there are a few in the same boat should also help.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share
