It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Well my division haven't let me or my members know why we have been pulled.
This explains it
How is it best I communicate this info to my members?
Gate meeting?
Union meeting in rest room?

Election booklets 'piling up at sorting office'

ELECTION addresses from Bristol's mayoral candidates are piling up at a sorting office because overworked posties are unable to deliver them, a union has claimed.
Officials from the Communication Workers Union say thousands of items of mail, including election booklets, were at the Mead Street depot, near Temple Meads, which serves the BS4 and BS14 postcodes.
The union blames increased delivery rounds which they say posties are "struggling to complete".
The city council said it was "very concerned" at delays delivering election material and would take action to ensure polling cards and postal votes were delivered.
A Royal Mail spokeswoman blamed "high levels of sickness" for the backlog and said contingency plans had been put in place over the weekend to try and solve the problem.

Bristol Mail Centre possible ballot over work diversion at expense of overtime. Other trouble - part timers always given 3 weeks 3 days to go full time at Christmas with £100 bonus. This year only 11 days given.
