It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Not really surprising it's being ignored when they have a guy in shorts and a glandular problem pushing a trolley who looks like he's an advert for the latest Adams family film.POSTMAN wrote:They have been asking us to do this since i've been in the job,15 yrs,you can take a horse to water...surely the union could put this in place

Re: A week of doin job correctly,!
Had the revision in our office for 3 weeks and the wheels have fallen off big time.
The DOM has now decided that D2D items of particularly badly failing walks should be put in overnight by new night shifts. i think they are going to prep some walks also. Along with this as I understand it they are effectively doing away with the 1/6th of D2D per day, as they will be putting in one loop per day for each of the driver and the walker. In my case we have 4 loops (part time) this means we would be doing 1/4 per day. This is far above what was agreed and set when D2D became workload surely the D2D agreement prevents them from doing this?
I have already told lino that at least one of my loops would be overweight if they do this, and I would not be able to do any packets on that loop as I physically could not fit anymore into the pouches.
As for doing the job properly I have been do that but my partner is on a temporary contract and comes in early (he was prepping the D2D last week)

No, they are a guideline and not set in stone (otherwise you would always miss a day when there's a bank holiday) the only rule you can use is 'work to your time' and either cut off, leave behind or claim OT. If they want me to do 100% of D2Ds in one day then that's ok, just take some work off me to balance it up.bigcol wrote:Flashman_ wrote:In my case we have 4 loops (part time) this means we would be doing 1/4 per day.
