You know the stuff SOME of you screws have to do as in xmas pressure when you lot make a token effort at a MC to sort a few packets or a few letters and make a feeling of.. "WERE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER LADS N LASSIES" , BULLSHIT BASIC PURE AND SIMPLE...###

Arnie,,,, Have you got my point now?

I see your figures you print but i know as most.. Figures can be made to look like anything you want with a right computer and a few CORRECT questions asked... IE.. HYS forms!!!! WTL sessions!!!! So when you spout off figures i am sick to the teeth with them as most must be? from shiney arsed w*****s with feck all else to do... A trained monkey could do most of your jobs... ive worked as close as i wanted to with that lot in a bookroom of a MC and i saw enough to make my opinion as it is.... Most of the work was done by BLUESHIRTS.. EX PHG's... Now that RM took that grade away.... But still want the posties to do the jobs.... But let you lot and LA's to do the stuff that keeps you in a job,, Just enough tho!!! But not enough in my book as your not worth a pint of piss.. In my opinion!!

OUT

tommo you are a card!!!!!!!!!!!! superb!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would rather die than be a scab.
I would saw my leg off before i vote Tory.
I would never ever EVER cross a picket line.
I broke my heart when the miners lost.
Arthur Scargill is still my Hero.
I wear a NUM badge on my postmans uniform.
I've had the same delivery for 24 years.
Peace,justice,& socialism my friends.
That is all.

forgive me if im wrong here rocky but didnt arnie go on about strike breakers and mention the miners strike?dont you think his first post stirred up a hornets nest?and you ask people to leave him alone!tensions are running high with people scabbing he deserves all the grief he gets in my opinion

Since when has a screw used their brain?

I had to show my line manager how to change the refresh rate on his computer. Maybe an untrianed monkey can stick a letter through the door in a legoland terraced environment when you havent got a SCREW threatening you if you go over time

the first post brought up the subject of strike breakers which to my mind is a problem to be sorted out later if there is a later, this is about discussion not argument especially as tempers are flaring at the moment, and like it or not arnold works for the same company that is under attack as we do if we are to win this fight these are the kind of people we need on board with us.rm needs people in many roles to funtion and they will not all think as we in del/driv roles do,however its their jobs as well if rm is to survive we need to unite to beat the real enemy g brown, adam, all, watchdogs, etc, everytime we fight amongst ourselves we give these people a pat on the back for what they are doing
and anyway im supposed to be a moderator so thats what i was trying to do

What jobs in a DO. Ok throwing out a delivery and doing it is not too hard, but without training it takes longer.

You need training for a callers office, thats not a job you can just walk into and do off bat.
Business Replies and Freepost desk is also not a job you can just walk into
Prio Locker, that would go down the tubes fast if you were not trained.

are you saying we need to unite with the same managers that think nothing about crossing a picket line?maybe rm should employ more untrained monkeys to replace them, you can have arnold on board with you but i will get off at the next stop thanks!

I find that remark very offensive, everybody is trained to do the job, not as much as they used to be, probably why RM are in the s**t they are in.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Arnold Layne wrote:Is your definition of strike breakers managers who are pressganged to work in the DO's on strike days? The only reasons a manager can avoid that work is by taking leave or being sick or claiming intimidation. There's, as far as I know, no opportunity to say that crossing picket lines is a breach of the managers personal morals.

You can guess what option I may have taken on the days the strikes took place.
OK I accept that you were not one of the Managers who scabbed, and thanks for that.
But we were told that they were 'volunteers'.
As I understand it the CMA advises its members not to do the work of striking postal workers.
And if the strikes go on every week for a lot longer, or develop into an all out strike, how much sick leave
or annual leave can you take.
I appreciate you coming on here and explaining your position. Some of my colleagues might not be too
welcoming but you will appreciate that feelings are running high at the present time.
