Re: Xmas tips
I had one couple gave me a tenner last year ... the day afterwards they came out and said,
"Didn't realise you were a part-timer - can we have £3-50 back please ?"

"We're under model" - oh no we're not - stick your lapse elsewhere ...

Re: Xmas tips
I had one bloke who opened his wallet and a tenner dropped onto the floor. I picked it up and gave it to him and he put it back in his wallet and gave me a fiver! And he owned the business I was delivering to!

Take what you can get, be gracious and enjoy it!
I'll be lucky if I come away with anything other than just a disease given where I'm delivering to currently!

Re: Xmas tips
When people gave me cards at christmas and it contained money and I considered it to be more than merely a gesture of recognition for good service I would buy them a gift of chocolates or wine or both depending on who they were and how much they had given. Regardless of the amount though, be it 50p or £20 I would always send a card in thanks.

Re: Xmas tips
Maybe we should tell managers not to accept their bonuses!!!!!!!!!!!!
Most of their bonuses look like "BRIBEs" to me.
First the colleague shares! now tips! no agreement for xmas hours. Well guess wot Royal Mail? you Aint getting any effort from us to deliver the post. Whos gona do the overtime? Its work till ya time and leave the rest. No wonder Royal Mail has fallen so far so soon. The real workers are the posties but they just get no rewards,no praise and constantly kicked in the teeth!
The posties are what made Royal Mail great. Now we are run as a business (but we are still a Public service are we not?) and the fat cats want more than just cream! They want to eat the whole cow! Guess wot? when you eat the cow, the cream is no more!
