The thing is,and i've always thought about it,for instance PPI 2nd class(or undated 2nd class),oh look we can stream that/knock that because it's 2nd class and it can go tomorrow.
But the question is,as it's undated when was it posted? When 'should' it be delivered.

The answer as our esteemed MC colleagues tell us is,if it's in your DO,regardless of what it is-it is due for delivery,THAT DAY.

As per 'clear office policy'
Whatever is in DO has to go out that day.
DIM'S are under pressure by DSM'S to make sure of this!
Pckts whatever they are, have to go out that day!

Im not sure your right re normal packets, thats why they get left sometimes even if its not xmas.

Packets are the 1st thing to get left because like i said it's easier,some drivers get told to leave packets to cover walks ect.
You need to get this thing out of your head that it is ok for management to leave them willy nilly,not a dig Hants,but you're wrong,and it is wrong what goes on.



If it's a regular thing at your place then your rep needs to be on the case,this is peoples mail.

DSM in an ET hearing last year told the ET judge to his face that RM don't have to deliver them every day. I was there. I actually believe the DSM was telling the truth for once. So have to agree to dis-agree postman. DSM said they have 3 - 5 days presume thats working days, so thats bits the same.

But hand on my heart I still can't believe what goes on

3-5 days is the time allowed to move through the pipeline from point A to point B.
It has absolutely nothing to do with how long a packet can sit in a D.O.
