If DTD are scheduled for the part of the duty you are starbursting then you should take them and the same applies for all OPGS. The duty when performed by one person should have a clear breakdown of which part of the round has DTD's on any given day,when the duty is split up amongst the many the DOM/Line manger should be ensuring everyone knows at the start of the week exactly what is required to ensure delivery of DTD.

There is an issue in amongst all this...
Who accepts responsibility for the D2D on a lapsed duty?
Is it 1/6th of your section of lapsing per day?
Is it simply 1/6th of the duty and if you end up with every door so be it?
Is it acceptable for management to have it all thrown in on a tuesday knowing that that's the day they will have the most cover?
It's all very well saying just do what you're asked but if there's a pile of it left on saturday who takes the fall?

The trouble is,(and this is a fact,just check your local mail centre and you will see them dumped), they are not declaring the failures. I have known a manager in "Royal Mail" land actually hide them in a transit! Ask your rep in the resource meeting for the weekly failed D2D. It will be a tricky answer. In fact get your rep to add that question on his resource sheet then get him,(or your Area rep) to post it to the DSM on a weekly basis. Better still get someone to count around the frames on a Saturday.
