Bradders (the man with the original vision) has not only understood the concept, he has already built on it. 20/20, test cricket (incorporating international signed fors) - the possibilities are endless. I am currently working on a way to introduce batting powerplay ......

Its only a thought but maybe the test match games we could play wearing our original blue shirts and the 20/20 could be the new red shirts. What about wearing our royal mail caps while sorting to really capture the ambience of the match. Perhaps we could get the lads on the frames either side of you to barrack you and chant stuff as if they were real supporters. How about a random drug test every few months just to round it off and if you fail it you then cannot play mail buddy cricket for say a week?

Or on the days we are playing buddy mail test cricket we could wear whites at our frames.
Obviously we would have to change to go out on delivery but I have never seen anything to say we have to wear a uniform while prepping.
We would have to work out a game for nightshift workers so they could play under floodlights.
And as for the sledging........we have enough of that going on already.

Or if you don't want to play cricket we could play mech snooker:
Red Ball - DSA
Yellow Ball - second class franked
Green Ball - first class franked
Brown Ball - second class stamped
Blue Ball - first class stamped
Pink Ball - international stamp
Black Ball - recorded letter.
Missort = in off. 4 points deducted.
There are 2 ways we could play this:

Just like in real snooker you would have to pot the balls in the correct sequence. IE red, colour,red, colour.
The chances of the letters occuring in the correct sequence to allow any sort of break building are pretty slim, so this version might not be popular. It would however give a very accurate reflection of my own break building capabilities.
2. The quick version:
You simply add up the points your mech tray scores using the table above. It would then be easy to organise an office tournament.
We could also play 8 ball pool with DSA being ball 1 up as in the table above to recorded letter being ball 7. International signed for could be the 8th ball.
This could be played as an office so when you start prepping at your frames, when you get a DSA letter you shout "ONE BALL" (or a Hitler if you like) , then when someone gets a second class franked they shout out "TWO BALLS" (or Normal if you like) and so on until someone gets an international signed for at the correct point and shouts "BALLS UP". They would be the winner.
