We have been told at our office from April 2nd when we kill off the mail its up to us now to strike a crayon over the address and ring the return address on the back of the envelope and place it in the appropriate box for returns. Another time consuming issue. As if we haven't got enough to do.
Anyone else doing this?
Been doing it for 36 years, what are you saying, all that time i shouldn't have been

A customer on my walk saved all his unopened junk mail & asked me if I could kill them off, which I did back at the office using the red stickers, over the past two weeks I have had quite a few other neighbours on the same street giving me piles of their mail to kill off, seems they have a street WhatsApp group & he posted what I did on it, are we okay doing this?
Not sure - RM don't consider any mail to be 'junk'. Would say you're better off getting them to post it return to sender in post box
if they really want to. Management or the originating sender might look at it that you're helping to cut off a revenue stream -
don't we need all this 'valuable marketing material' to keep ourselves in work?
