This 'must complete' attitude has to go.

The job now requires you to work your hours only.

There is no such thing as a set amount of work for one day...there are however set hours.

What happened to this heavy day we were supposed to have? Apart from a few holiday brouchers probably one of the lightest days ive seen all year! Anyone else had an easy one today?

Colossal amounts of flats, thank goodness no D2D and very few packets (<20)...

One of the heaviest 3.5 hour delivery spans (plus meal relief) I've done ever!

Loads of flats. Loads of mech, some left from xmas Eve, loads of packets and a c*** of a D2D.
Same again tomorrow probably.
No early finishes.

Very heavy, pissing about taking off the snow chains when entering flats then putting them back on when hitting the street again was time consuming. Single D2D, loads of heavy flats and Sky mags, went a little over my time and did an extra bag, finished going on 4:00. Rumours of a deluge of delayed stuff arriving tomorrow so no thanks i dont think i will work my day off thank you very much. I might pop in 1st thing to return some keys and have a chuckle to myself though. :left:

Loads of packets in today (many of them from 17th/18th December) so the NIMC must've been hiding them somewhere along with all the Christmas cards  and to make it even worse, they're sending stuff down in bags again..............if I was the DOM then I'd have sent it straight back up and told them to send it down to us properly.

To do that would mean they'd have to grow some!

Light day - All the flats are still sitting in the yorks, just like they were before Xmas.

The MC sent all the cr*p down so they could clear, stuff not due out yet!!!!

How come the local MC can send down Xmas cards with their MC date 6/12/10 1st Class!TODAY, whilst I am getting stuff from 2 MCs 100 miles away dated 22 and 23/12/10 to deliver today. Amazing how we can deliver better when it comes from afar!

If the DOM was to do that the MC would just send it straight back at you again as there isn't the equipment available. If you do get it in sleeves it'll probably be in cardboard sleeves.

Don't worry, the 1" thick sale magazines are on their way. I had nearly 80 today, around 60 are still in the office and will go when I can get them in.

And there are still 11 cages of xmas cards diverted from the MC sat in our office :cuppa
