How do they still use a bag?
The use of trolleys should have have removed (largely if not totally) the drivers doing drop bags. In our case they are talking of removing the boxes as well.
So unless they are carrying 32kg bags (or 75kg?) I don't see how they are managing.
Unless they use bags and trolleys which must be twice as slow.

What's that old song "When will they ever learn" - it is not a question of completing the delivery, it's not a question of finishing early IT IS a question of using the delivery methods as proscribed in the agreement - if it takes longer and you can't complete...................great, it means more hours into the scheme and more people employed for longer...............doing it on the shoulder is donkeys led by donkeys

I think 3.5 hours max with bag over the shoulder deliverys are still allowed but CDV/HCT is the first port of call,thats
the way my area rep is looking at it,though he did have a heated conversation with ASM and planner earlier this week and mentioned firing a letter off to Bob Gibson over differences of opinion on how the revisions would proceed,managements
view being we will plot the dutys then you can have your say sorting them out once they are in!...a leap of faith as some
would say....

They may well be but they do not meet any of the revision requirements...they do not enable longer delivery spans and they do not protect full-time jobs so unless they are unavoidable as in the case of tenements then they won't be happening.
Simply deciding not to use the designated delivery methods because it would be quicker with a bag is definitely not allowed.

aye im with you 100% on the quicker with a bag point,my office mainly delivers to a world of stairs so the 3.5 hrs would
be the tenement restriction and only 5kg bags, which would be possible on some of the deliverys with plenty of pouch
boxes,this also depends on the office taking over local collections which would make up the indoor time lost with WSM,

to be honest i think we wont get anything like the above and as the revision gets closer the more the cracks are appearing
and cosy jobs for the few and f**k the rest of ye is more likely how the ASM would like it,

one of our part timers was drafted into troon for a few days last week, he said it is a shambles postmen finishing at 5 and 6 o'clock at night, if this is their new way of working they can shove right up their arses ... and he was getting in the neck from the manager because he said he couldn't work by his time on the saturday ... btw troons DOM is also our DOM .... he spends his entire time at troon ... i am lucky if i have seen the guy 3 times in the 3 or so months he has been in charge
