Probably because the whole deal has been slanted one way only - why wait for the first revision? You know nothing will be done, we know nothing will be done and it is not the only issue that needs sorting. It's just another set of "lets suck it and see" or more to the point "let them suck it and see".dingo wrote:I can be blamed for many things but it's not down to me as there are none in London . I have commented in several other posts recently that a part timer SHOULD be paid pro rata and this is only fair if it goes up in line with the hours they work, i.e. to reflect the time they put in.banner18 wrote:PostieWithTheMostie! wrote:Don't forget P/T's are Pro-Rata in this deal and we're only getting £10.30 and not the £20.60 for a F/T...banddy wrote:dunno.
but you will will both have the same job security, you will both get the £20.60 when you are on A/L and you will be prepping the D2D in your duty time
(not your own time - as that is probably what you do at present?)
Half the hours worked equals half the pay. Piece work leads to poor quality so they want rid.
The only part of this supplement I disagree with (unless I'm mistaken) is that it isn't paid in proportion to your hours. If a 30 hour guy does 40 hours one week due to overtime, then they should recieve £20.60 that week. Any have any info about this?
this is definitely something that should get pushed more. many of my pt buddies work way over their contracted hours on a weekly basis. maybe it wouldn't be such a kick in the teeth for them if there was a quarterly review where they would be paid the extra they were owed. maybe two payments like sa ones we get. in fact thinking about it im pretty shocked its not already in place
