Re: UNDERSTANDING THE AGREEMENT............
But why on earth would you persuade a yes vote? This deal, regardless of the £ signs is a disaster for the rank and file, the obvious strategy of Royal Mail is still to implement change by diktat as shown by the post on the new understanding. The CWU looked to be almost begging for involvement and not demanding it as the case should be - RM will throw them a few crumbs but the days of negotiation are gone.Big Daz wrote:axeman wrote:daz mate the agreement is crap it's just your members are a lot wiser than you ........
I have mbrs intending to vote yes and mbrs intending to vote no.

Re: UNDERSTANDING THE AGREEMENT............
Well we wouldn't know would we, it was held behind closed doors and in strict secrecy - having said that they could have been playing hide the sauage for all we know - the deal of the century, the best pay day ever, life changing, well yes all of those things for all the wrong reasons and for the wrong people.horris_1uk wrote:The CWU are saying this is the best deal they could get and ive been told by the union rep in my office that "you should have seen what Royal Mail wanted to bring in" does anyone know what Royal Mail wanted to bring in? how much more did they want to shaft us

Re: UNDERSTANDING THE AGREEMENT............
No supplement and no DTD payment.
That is the claim from the top of the CWU, you either belive them or you dont.

Whether you believe them or not is not the real question Daz.Big Daz wrote:No supplement and no DTD payment.

The truth is it would make no business sense whatsoever.
DTDs biggest problem by far is quality and you do not drive up quality by disengaging the very people charged with delivering it.
The removal of payment for DTD IS a lie.
The real question is who's lie is it?
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Re: UNDERSTANDING THE AGREEMENT............
Well rumour has it that the CWU was given the money to disburse it as they saw fit and the disbursement, as it is, is pro rata for part timers and £20.60 for people who walk in the door, have never had ESA, have never worked a 6 day week starting at 5 am, had no grandfather rights and may never deliver a D2D like many others who are about to get a windfall every week.............................. then they tell the members this is the best they can do whilst wallowing in luxury on £100k salaries paid for by the people who are going to be worse off for the next two years - yep this is a winners and losers agreement right enough.
Nobody in their right mind would vote for this.
