Ahaaa, so you'd be one them Johnnies who hasn't the faintest idea how a DO works, properly....or, an MC, properly, and I assume uses the word "working" when applied to themselves, in the loosest terms possible?I am number six wrote:I am number six wrote: working with management and regional management within operations

Re: The Outcome of the Ballot
I don't have a problem with people like Number 6, but surely he should be explaining his position and telling us why we need to have worse terms and conditions, is it due to the ineptitude of management setting the DSA price, is it the pension deficit caused by management and government, is it the 'competition' that have no interest in delivering the final mile, is it that management had their hearts set on privatisation and are sore that it got kicked into touch?
So please Number 6, tell me why I should accept less pay for more work and even later finishes. Oh, and because your bonus relies on it doesn't count as a reason.

If he came out and gave you a direct answer he wouldn't get so many bites, defeats the whole point of trolling.pinstripe wrote:I don't have a problem with people like Number 6, but surely he should be explaining his position and telling us why we need to have worse terms and conditions, is it due to the ineptitude of management setting the DSA price, is it the pension deficit caused by management and government, is it the 'competition' that have no interest in delivering the final mile, is it that management had their hearts set on privatisation and are sore that it got kicked into touch?

Num 6 to be fair mate,if you have not worked on the front line then tbh some of your views are worthless.
That's not being rude as i'm not a rude person.
While everyone on here of course has the right to anonymity,we're not interested in who you are but just where you work.
A pen pusher trying to sell this deal is a joke mate.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: The Outcome of the Ballot
On that I agree - however the change has to be for the right reasons, it has to bring the workforce with it, not just the CWU as an organisation. And to be frank the management style of Royal Mail has to change and though the agreement seeks to do just that, the selfish part of me thinks that its the workers that are sacrificing the most and the business reaping the benefits. I am willing to give RM a chance but after 2007 P&M perhaps you can see why people are wary of an agreement that is full of aims and commitments but short on promises and details.I am number six wrote:Change is vital for the survival of the business and a secure future, and the security of the workforce, Fact not opinion
