Lots of people refuse to do them when that happens they arein effect saying they dont want/need the money, That must make it hard for the CWU to put up an argument to increase the payments. The soloution would have been to lift the cap and collect the old rate and we would have got a pay rise. if the contracts had grown.

The problem would have been no prep time and lots of people picking which D2D to do, making it harder to get more contracts if we are to survive as a company we need to be able to gurantee the service. Putting it in workload makes us ALL fill out our day and protects our job.

Rember the £20 supplment is paid 52 weeks of the year regardless of holidays sick or if there are no D2D you need to look back over the year and see if this equates to as much money as you get on D2D some weeks we have one or no D2D's
Gawd not a again! :arrrghhh :arrrghhh You cant refuse not to do D2D and you should already have prep time to do them. Now here's the maths based on my office. If you take the maximum 6 weeks leave (including purchased leave) plus 2 weeks Xmas pressure and work on an average of 500 drops ( some have 600):

current rate : ESA - 44 x £12 = £528.00
3x D2D at 1.67p 44 x 25.05p = £1102.2
Total = £1630.20

52 weeks at new supplement = £1071.20

I am now going to be down by £559 a year. This is first time I have known a Union negotiate a fecking pay cut. Granted some offices may have fewer D2D now, but if and when they grow this service, I'll guarantee you will soon be sick of the site of them.

Fluke whilst you cant refuse to deliver them it clearly states that they need to be done within spec Monday to Friday if you prove you can not compleate them by cutting out, The managers are quick to turn a blind eye to this. Or encourage you to sub contract them out to someone else.

How often do you think theyll turn up singles in yorks coz the mail centre was too busy to do them :left:

For what its worth I get £28 d2d and £12 early shift, thats £40 less tax of about £9 , so £31 - under the new regime i`ll get double maybe triple d2d AND only bring home £13 - so im out of pocket by around £18 a week, thats my beer money , so you know what im voting !!

I dont mind being worked hard, I dont mind them taking the pee (a bit!!) but this is being treated like muppets - slaves almost.
mail centre staff are not included in the d2d payment, get your facts right and read the agreement.
