re courier
what i could NEVER understand as a union man all my life. i was a nupe rep in the nhs, was looking in the courier at people who have done their very best to put themselves in the position we are in now! by this i mean such and such an office have taken out so many duties, got rid of vans etc etc! all it would appear with union blessing! then all had their pictures taken grinning their bollocks off about it ! to me anything you did have to bargain with you have given up free of charge! or a one off payment. these offices have taken the "pieces of silver" ie savings bonuses and it has come back and bit them on the arse big style! i bet they are not smiling now! regards dongash opg macclesfield sk

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

It's probably RM propaganda department
Letters on page 21 'NAME AND ADDRESS SUPPLIED' writes:- '' If people don't like the job or want more money, they should find another one'' and to top it all off ''A pay rise is not right''
WHAT AN ABSOLUTE F***ING NUMPTY.
But of course RM NEVER LIE (and I'm an idiot

I remember years ago a bloke wrote asking if Royal Mail could introduce a blazer badge along the lines of a British Army regimental one for wearing on holiday so as postmen could recognise each other.
Imagine it!
"Hello there! Do you recognise the old 'Crown and Posthorns' on the barathea? I'm a postman you know?"
"Ae you? So am I and I'm here to forget the frigging place for a fortnight, so do us a favour and sod off before I belt you with this empty bottle!"
The Industrial Workers of the World. The union whose members never scab!
"The working class and the employing class have nothing in common."
