youve no idea what its like buddie. i have about 20 redirections atlesat 30 return dead mails a day .

i remember during xmas i was one of the fierst ones out the door becuase im so used to working so fast and geting to start the same time as full timers..

made my point to manager. the full timers didnt like it one little bit.

what a breeze it is wen u get to come in at 5 to fart about for 3 and a half hours. :confused
Hey Im just telling you 2 trays can be thrown in by a regular in 30 minutes, I know it can because I and every other reg in my office does it, every, single, day.

Those my friend, are facts, your statements above are nothing more than assumptions, piffle, waffle and poppycock.

Maths was wrong changes in Red - Many thanks to Island Boy for spotting my errors

Not quite - FT have 2 hours IPS in their duties at my DO

That leaves 6 hours in a 8 hour day.

40 minute break leaves 5.20.

3.30 delivery leaves 1hr 50 .

30 minutes travelling leaves 1:20

In that 1 hour 20 a FT has to prep his frame
not forgetting TBT that RM have agreed in the 1994 agreement on the RM2000 when testing prep times that 12 letters per minute on a 20 minute test was acceptable, now incorperate fatigue a unit can agree 10 letters per minute, now the agreed test RM2000 should have 640 delivery points, so if every delivery point has 3 letters. thats 640 x 3 = 1920 letters, prep them at 10 letters per minute = just under 3 hours 15 minutes to prep, you then have 20% D2D and your DBF bag, kill offs, redirections, bagging up and labelling... now who has a easy walk and finisning at 12.00 :no no

But I still work my 8hrs...straight 8 hour days from 5-1. I forget to mention that we absorb a round that was taken out into ours thats 20 mins each. So I finish at 12 but then 40mins meal relief and 20mins absorbed I don't leave the office until I've completed my 8hrs

Adding to my first post, start 6.15,wander around the office collect mech, flats etc, that takes a good seven minutes. throw out untill 6.30. 6.30 untill 8.00 ips unless we have loads then it could be upto 8.15-8.30. then wander around the office again collecting mail , one pod at a time ( health and safety) :Very Happy that takes again at least another 7 mins.start throwing walk out untill its all in, including packets. Then prep 20% d2d no more no less. :Very Happy Have at least 3 coffees in between and during my fresh air break go and get some toast. Then tie up ,sort pouches etc etc etc. We have to wait for our missorts to come , they arrive about 9.40 .All the flyers are now chomping at the bit to get them done and fly out the door , thats if they havent already gone..Then i have a 15 minute cycle to my first drop, which should be 10 am. three and a half hours later i put my last letter in 1. 30. 15 mins cycle back 1.45 , 10 mins poch off 1.50. then 40 min meal relief. I know it should be taken in between . Thats how pegasus sees it , but the pegasus used in our office was blinkered..... :whistle

:Applause this relays a typical day in the life of a postie however my main objection is that posties are standing at a RM2000 prepping when they was NOT designed for that, you are ment to sit while prepping and only stand to prep the top row and through off at 10/12 L'sPM, nobody therefore has a right to moan if they choose to do things differently. Ashadd question if i may....if you preped at the rate suggested how long would you take to finish prepping.......and Pegasus can kiss my ars

Not sure , i thaught there was no agreed prep test. but i have been prep tested ,twice first time was 11 letters per minute, the second time was 12 per minute. but having said that i cut off at 9.10 to throw my d2d in ,just to prove a point so i could get out on time.so i had to leave mail. Now i thaught , that was it actual prep time was for throwing in letters , flats and packet and d2d. ,BUT oh no apperently it includes all your time in the office prior to delivery , except for ips The tester wrote down the times i spent prepping which was 12 per minute but the dom twisted it, as i said for all the time in the office. The tester did collect all my mail for me and all i did was prep.
So actual throwing in letters was 65 mins,so 65 x 12 = 780 letters, not very many,i know but on that day we had to do extra ips.Now the doms time was as i said all the time i was there including tieing up etc,etc ,etc except for ips which equals 90 minutes, so 780 letters prepped in 90 mins = a prep rate of just over 8. So what is the correct test. There are other walks in the office that have problems but the do a lot less ips and get to throw there walks out. Their are a lot of walks that go over time , but they book ot, i dont want to , so they have problems about having longer walks but thats ok ,let them book ot it causes no problems YET. Does that answer your question? i hope so cause it baffles me :left: :left: :left: :left: :left:

I'm a PT'er and you HAVE to cut off. Unless you do they will keep putting on you. Is there not a rep that can advise you? Does everyone in your office complete? I think any walk that is tested is going to be over if done properly. I used to be guilty of getting in early AND going over and not claiming. Life is so much better now, not having to rush everywhere.

whats the point in having walks they know are incompletable shurly the government should be looking into this since the company belongs to them.

what makes them think they can get away with peoples mail not getting delivered?
