This is very strange timing.
You would think first announce agreement to end long running postal dispute and herald a new dawn for Royal Mail followed by much back slapping and "well dones" and then announce "now that my work is done i will be moving on".

This smells of rats and sinking ships to me.

Maybe the agreement is in the bag; so its job done for him!

Oh this has turned into a good news day after all good riddance.
Though our good fortune is the workers at ITV's bad fortune should we warn them the harbinger of doom is coming?.

Don't worry its not exactly a hot bed of Unionism and after the way some journos reported the strikes in 2007 and 2009 perhaps they will have some sympathy when he starts Modernising ITV. Perhaps ITV stars will have to be more flexible and maybe we will see the Dingles and Rita absorbing in the Cabin.

No one leaves the post office / Royal Mail at that level without their will having been read by the Govenment.

Croziers track record at Royal Mail will always be that he has probably been the most aloof and hated boss in Royal Mail history. Crozier and not Leighton was always the hardliner , he got rid of Elmar Tolme , and then created the "Scotish Mafia " which was led by him Tom Melvin and Steve Cameron.

Managers in the personal side of the business loss the power game with the likes of Tony Mcarthy , Kevin Green and Ninean Wilson all previously having leave.

So Crozier has left because he couldt either crush the union or win the hearts and minds of our members , he tried both and has failed at both appoaches.
