Clearly he is lying and protecting Mandleson and the government. I bet he didn't want to do the interview unless they agreed not to ask certain questions.

That's a VERY good point. I wondered why he came out of hiding at all, and now suddenly the penny has dropped... Mandelson has probably ordered him to go in front of the cameras, and Crozier probably said 'OK, but not with Paxman or Jeff Randall, only if it's with someone like Marr. He won't ask me any difficult questions'

The worst part is that it looks like going to the TUC is going to be a complete waste of time because the agenda is still the same according to Croziers comment. "There is no going back." Also the comment of sorting things out over two months. Yeah right when we are at our strongest. Unless there is an agreement to discuss work loads, bullying & harrassment, misinterpretation of management in respect of flexing and other areas, I say there should be no going forward either. Dave, you need to be listening to what we are saying, or else the union will be doomed as well.

I personally would prefer to see Mr Crozier interviewed by Jeremy Paxman. I think Andrew Marr did OK this morning but he just didn't have that extra little bit of courage to push for the answer or make an issue out of it when he avoided answering questions.

Jeremy Paxman would show him up for what he really is. A lying cheat who is just not up to the job of running a company where the workforce is paramount.

Get him on Newsnight and let's see how he copes!

Did anyone stay on for the Big Questions after Andrew Marr? The first topic was "Is it (morally) right for the public sector to strike?" There were one or two against that made vaguley coherent but worthy points ( most against, including a Torygraph journalists that compared strikers to terrorists ( ) and said that the Govt doesn't negotiate with terrorists, why should they negotiate with strikers! I just wanted someone to say "So you'd prefer the Ulster Troubles to continue? You'd prefer Israel and Palestine to smash each other up? You'd rather maintain confliuct rather than end it?" ) However some excellent points were made by a CWU rep & especially a Prison Officers Association rep, Judith Gould MP ( if I recall her name right ) and also a North London rabbi - Nicky Cambell was as worthless as a left handed wank though, even if he was playing the part of Devil's Advocate.

We definitely need new management in. Adam Crozier gave no impression of caring for this company and customers. All top management should be expected to 'go back to the floor' for a week to shadow a postie in delivery/ mail centres so they can then empathise with the job that they are making decisions about.
