It took me nine years to get my own delivery but I've been a rural postie for nearly four years now and I have to say that getting your own duty is a different world. I have more summer vegetables than I can cope with, a regular supply of free meat from a local butcher, free dog biscuits (a godsend) tobacco, blank dvd's and soon enough a free free range turkey (I just hope it's not alive when I receive it!) from another greatful customer. I recently received my first xmas tip in the form of a big tin of chocolates because the customer forgot me last year which made my day to be honest. I've made many firm friends which in part is due to my giving free drumming lessons to two adult customers and two children from other customers. I like to think I'm in for a good haul this year :Very Happy .
Alas after christmas our outdoor revision comes in which will force a repick of which I am certain to lose my delivery, bugger :confused .

I have been on my round for 5yrs now and get loads of chocks money and wine an old gentleman makes me up 12 tomato plants which gave me lots of toms this summer, but he is 100 next year and said he may not be able to do it (make up the plants lol)

I have some that give me teas and drinks , some look out for me if I get hassle from some certain neighbours,

The cycle shop i deliver to usually pumps my tyres up for me on my RM cycle

If they see me out or my son they say hello, going to miss some of them if they carve up my round though have some big tippers
but that will be after xmas
