Waves folks, 7-3; 9-5;11-7; PT's in between. It's all about working to keep the machines rolling 24/7 ,they cost more than you and any idle time is dead money

Re: 7 am til 3pm?
I heard that someone rang RM to complain that their mail was late everyday as they had a business to run. When asked what time it was coming the customer said a time in the afternoon. RM response??? "Im afraid its not late, the mail can be delivered any time upto 12oclock midnight. As long as it is delivered on the correct day of delivery." HELLO have we gone mad???
Surely this cant be true???

Just make sure that when the christmas pressure kicks in that you are not out 'til 8-9oclock at night to complete deliveries - goodwill versus safety and quality of life - no contest !!!dejavu wrote:A lad in our office heard somewhere last year what they really wanted is us doin 9-5. When we put this to the management at the time he agreed and said yes thats what will prob come in in the end :cfo

When I was on firms collections we were given bags of mail to deliver to firms when we were collectingdejavu wrote: RM response??? after 1700 or 1800, because deliveries had not delivered them earlier. The manager said it was OK to
deliver them at this time as it was the same day, even though the firms were usually closed by that time.
We got flak from the security staff who we had to leave them with, but had to say that that was what we
had been told to do by our managers.

Not "cost more than you", worth more than you. There's a big difference...BELIAL wrote: It's all about working to keep the machines rolling 24/7 ,they cost more than you and any idle time is dead money

Re: 7 am til 3pm?
If 8 or 9am starts came into my office i'd leave. It would take me 40 mins to get to work instead of 10, and there's no way I am delivering on a sh*t estate when it's going dark.
