I went in on time yesterday, did my redirections bang on time, handed a couple to a full timer who wasn't far away from me, and he rolls his eyes and tuts! He looks at his empty frame, then at the letters as if to say what am I supposed to do with these?

I managed to refrain from telling him exactly where to put them. He then left, a good 50 mins early.

Halfway through my walk, I see another full timer pulling up outside his house, finished!

These full timers need to think carefully about how they are spoiling it for everyone.

I wouldnt worry about it or people finishing early (i take it theyre rushing around), just do your job right and youll be fine !
Redirections are a next day delivery - as anyone should know - redirections are done centrally and not handed to the postman, they would then be sorted to the relevant frame for next day delivery not same day delivery. Take for example a redirection for an area outside your responsibility it is delayed because it has been redirected and the same criteria applies to the redirection service in general.
Internal redirections at our office are to be treated as first class and delivered same day. Assumed it was the same everywhere.

Same thing in my office, they are put into the mis-sort frame which is cleared before commencement of duty.

I dont really have a huge problem taking the odd redirection if its in the IPS frame late, if you have a whole bunch of them I can understand it being a different story tho

Many may have noticed they have only become "same day" since SDD - they are however not same day - they are no different to any redirection to anywhere: lets just take an example for someone who is late, or gone sick, or even someone slower or a late starter whose duty is not prepared before the office is allowed to leave, redirections are obviously the last thing to be done and so if the duty has already gone to which the redirection is for - is that a failure if someone doesn't go and deliver it the same day?, and is it wilful delay?
Because someone says they are for same day doesn't change the provisioons of the service as presented to the customer who is paying for it, which is the mail will be treated as first class and as the redirection is the same as posting that day, then the delivery day is the next day.
