arrive at 5.am
prep walk until 5.30
asap from 5.30 to 7.00am
prep walk 7.00 to whatever time you finish
go back up to finish asap if there is any in which there always is(as summer mail is dropping off after all,just not in any of the offices,only in managers heads)
missorts 8/8.30
tie up
out the door for 9ish,if youre driving later for vans.
to be honest though if it wasnt for posties driving thier cars the vans wouldnt be able to cope with everybody..
ps no meal breaks neither no time to have 1.

MONDAY: Get up 1000am, Get a lift to work in Old st EC1.
TUESDAY: Get up when i want..
WEDNESDAY: Get up when i want.

it wouldnt surprise me if they closed the canteen down..
this new mini resign has every body working thier nuts off.
an extra 150 drops on most walks also an extra 40 mins asap on top of the 50 minutes we already do.
also the threat of summer covers hanging over our heads..
i swear our bosses seem to think we can squeeze 5 hrs work into 30 minutes.
even when we all work our nuts off it still doesnt get done.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Meal breaks
Meweavy your colleagues and you MUST take your meal breaks and use your canteen,because if you dont what you said will happen NO CANTEEN.This is what royal mail want to take canteens out of offices and replace with vending machines,another job gone.Dont rush about ,just do your job at a sensible pace,start at your right time,take your meal breaks,weigh your bags,dont use cars,do your d2ds work till your time if need be and who knows you might find they have to PUT DUTIES IN NOT TAKE ANY OUT.

meweavy,just been reading some of your posts mate,jeeze you seem to have it bad down there.
Take a bit of time and look through some of the threads,try and get some tips,and there's enough of us on here to help you out,because by god it seems you need it mate.
Seems you need a bit of a shake up and to bang a few heads together.
If you wanna i can send you some flyers if you pm me where you are,let your guys know about us and we'll show them the way.
We're always happy to help on here.

our new dom has really managed to f**k things up down here.
weve seen theunion about the way our office is run in an emergency meeting.
and in their words our dom is one of the most slippery characters theyve ever met,and they cant even do anything about him.
i mean if our union says that about him then our office is on our own.
yes we have tried to agree to work to rule even if it is for 1 day a week.
and what happened.nothing.
evry man for himself seems to be our office policy..
thats why we got rid of our last union rep because he agreed on our behalf this new mini resign in our office..
extra asap,extra drops..same amount of time to do it in.
there was no ballot just an agreement between the rep and the dom.
so the reps out but the agreement went through...
we complained about this new resign and the dom in his words said that the job is going to get a lot worse...
and now this is the 2nd week we havent recieved our door to doors....

0525 IPS (inward primary sorting)0700
0700 Prep walk D2D tie up weigh bags etc.0820
0820 meal break 0900 (40 mins)
0905 on vans travel to start of delivery 1245 (3 1/2 hr delivery span)
1245 on vans arrive at DO 1255
1300 finish
Here's how my day really pans out0500 start Prep walk to 0525
0525 IPS (inward primary sorting)0700
0700 Prep walk D2D tie up weigh bags etc.0820
0820 meal break 0900 (40 mins)
0900 carry on prep D2D etc. until finished
0920/0930 ish approach screw/muppet ask for assistance, ask to be directed? Suggest I leave a row in coz thats my judgement. Muppet agrees, tell him if my judgement is wrong I will cut/off muppet gives me dirty look. Muppet has to take me out in his car/nail.
Start my delivery 1/4 way in 1245 on van with the other Guys and Gals. Drive past muppet who is just starting the row I left in. Lots of banging on windows, honking of horn etc.
1255 arrive at DO walk past DOM whos glaring looking daggers etc
. Walk past Rep, Old chindribbler's beaming all over his face.
1300 Walk out of DO with a bunch of laughing joking POSTIES

Dom and Rep had a strategic resources meeting today. Rep comes out and announces proposed later start times. CWU have not agreed any later starts. It will all come out in the wash!! Our new start time a la RM 0615 our present start 0500, 6th August is when it's supposed to kick in. Rep went round to the few who are not on the vans and had a chat to to help them focus their minds a little more.
Instant result was one A/G immediately on to the vans.

guys wots all this about 318's ours has been tore up since the resign at the start of sept 06. still no resign so no 318's. managers laughing up their sleeves . we just work until they tell us to stop. it is sooooo 
any suggestions we have only one rep at an office 12 miles away who is trying to cover the whole of the iow workforce. our office twat. sorry a little slip there!! our dom refuses to acknowledge him as he does not work in our office.
the upper levels of management must be laughing their heads off while screwing us daily.
