Billy Hayes was an embarrassment, he goes off on tangents & starts name dropping, another wasted opportunity to get across to the public. You need to speck in much firmer language Mr Hayes!
I heard it - unfortunately :mad
As the union, we are in serious need of someone who can make a cogent argument for the cause. He must be aware of the limited media time available, but at every opportunity he meanders all over the place causing more damage in terms of public perception. last night the topic of disaffiliation came up and he did some serious back peddling and ended up wasting time cosying up to the nu-liebour MP in the studio, even going on to say what a decent bloke Mandy is! :Sick :Sick :Sick
If anyone at HQ is reading this - Please lock him away in a darkened room somewhere and get DW (or anyone else for that matter!) to handle the media.
I vote for POSTMAN, Teebs, Johnny P, Brother Magrew or any of the other Mods to be put up for it - tbh ( and somebody forgive me for saying this ) any serving postal worker ( screws, DIMs and Soss Chips And Beans included ) could do a better job than BH......cos if it goes through, we've all got an equal chance of getting royally shafted!

snatching defeat out of the jaws of Victory - the papers get hold of the :cfo & his Senior Managers pensions being topped up story as they are in a separate scheme - what do the CWU do ? Answer : - send for bumbling Billy to go on the telly :d'oh! - he starts waffling , namedropping , backtracking and going off on tangents , being such a Labourite he doesn't really want to upset anyone and appears to be feathering his own nest :hmmmm

Cheers teebs, but I won't look at it - I'm a pessimist by nature, but if I see how often BH has cocked it up, I'll have suicidal tendencies :so there

Wonder if the CWU bigwigs ever have a browse thru these forums ?

If not, they need to.....
