There’s no need for your rudeness mate, ever since we’ve been required to log in and out we’ve been allowed to go home but this new manager has stopped it stating that there’s no office in the country that doesn’t work to time, I was just trying to find out if that was true.Tman wrote: ↑20 Apr 2026, 18:00Not quite getting the concept of being on the clock, are you?geordieboy123 wrote: ↑19 Apr 2026, 18:03Maybe but they probably have work up to their finish time I’m talking about the office being totally clear of work and we’re just standing around waiting to log out on our pda’s

It won't feel like it, but this new COM will be doing you a favour as he's probably protecting his office budget.geordieboy123 wrote: ↑20 Apr 2026, 18:24There’s no need for your rudeness mate, ever since we’ve been required to log in and out we’ve been allowed to go home but this new manager has stopped it stating that there’s no office in the country that doesn’t work to time, I was just trying to find out if that was true.Tman wrote: ↑20 Apr 2026, 18:00Not quite getting the concept of being on the clock, are you?geordieboy123 wrote: ↑19 Apr 2026, 18:03Maybe but they probably have work up to their finish time I’m talking about the office being totally clear of work and we’re just standing around waiting to log out on our pda’s

Re: Job and Finish
Reading this thread it seems there's a big disparity between office rules and also office workloads/work completion.
RM need to recognise this and make savings where it is actually possible instead of targeting every office, as we know a lot of them are completely f****d and any more cuts would just leave them even more fuckered.
There should never be blanket approaches when lots of basic company policies are not in place in all offices.

Agreed nobody on our office is allowed to scan out before the official end of duty time, if they do they are pulled up the following day.funkflex55 wrote: ↑20 Apr 2026, 19:14Reading this thread it seems there's a big disparity between office rules and also office workloads/work completion.

Re: Job and Finish
Anyone driving 7.5t and above don't need to use siso because it's all recorded on the tacho, any managers can look at any drivers data with vision. The cards are downloaded every day at the end of the shift which is basically clocking outSpacePhoenix wrote: ↑19 Apr 2026, 21:29They should have started using it back when processing started using it.

All our Distribution drivers have to use SISO, they've even got their own SISO terminalcitypostie wrote: ↑20 Apr 2026, 21:37Anyone driving 7.5t and above don't need to use siso because it's all recorded on the tacho, any managers can look at any drivers data with vision. Re: Job and Finish
We don't either, like I said the tacho has all the data on and we download the cards at the end of shifts , which shows when we've finished anyway. More reliable than the siso kit and shows the managers everything they need to know about our shifts including being legal with regards to driver hours and breaks takenSean06 wrote: ↑20 Apr 2026, 22:05They don't in ours.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑20 Apr 2026, 21:56All our Distribution drivers have to use SISO, they've even got their own SISO terminalcitypostie wrote: ↑20 Apr 2026, 21:37Anyone driving 7.5t and above don't need to use siso because it's all recorded on the tacho, any managers can look at any drivers data with vision. Re: Job and Finish
They don't in Manchester either, and it's a massive hub with loads of drivers. Last month a new manager tried to make it so an 8 hour overtime Sunday for example, they'd only pay them for what they did if they left after 6 hours, losing 2 hours.Sean06 wrote: ↑20 Apr 2026, 22:05They don't in ours.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑20 Apr 2026, 21:56All our Distribution drivers have to use SISO, they've even got their own SISO terminalcitypostie wrote: ↑20 Apr 2026, 21:37Anyone driving 7.5t and above don't need to use siso because it's all recorded on the tacho, any managers can look at any drivers data with vision. Everybody scrubbed their name off overtime, rang managers and said 'not working this weekend' etc and within 24 hours it was back to job and finish (and still be paid the full hours). I'm glad for them.

Re: Job and Finish
Leaving early, the very thing SISO was supposed to stop.
Claiming for O/T not worked is a sackable offence.

Re: Job and Finish
Nothing is stopping RM from sacking all the C1/2 drivers and replacing them with agency staff which costs them far more, they're already understaffed as it is.
Also (if you read it) they tried to bring it in and everybody refused to do overtime, so RM have the option of doing either.
The ball is in RM's court, go get your licences and join them x

I was talking about the SISO system generally, and nothing specific to drivers.
