I received my ballot paper.
I am a sensible person.
I had one choice.
I ignored RM spin.
I voted YES.

I believe that it will not come to industrial action - RM saying that if employees vote for a strike that is exactly what they will get is rubbish but I guess expected from them. I am positive that a massive YES vote will be returned and this will force RM to come back to the table and offer us a decent payrise that we all deserve.

Lets not forget this - when the negotiations started in April inflation was at 4.8%. A 2.5% payrise is not a payrise - in effect it is a 2.3% PAY CUT. How can RM expect us to be happy with that?

If you havent voted already please vote and vote YES - it is the ONLY sensible choice. It is crucial we stand together and stand firm.
It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.

There is going to be people voting No and whilst i cannot get my head around that i do respect their own democratic right to vote which way they want.
However if you are going to vote no then please give us your reasons. This is a forum and it encourages debate so lets have it.

I would be interested and no doubt the rest of us as well to hear the 'NO' voters views.
Not a slag off session,a discussion.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I think a lot of people are scared of it actually coming to Industrial Action and them loosing money. It is easy for us to say it will not come to that and that even if it does, it is a short term loss for a long term gain but for some people they are so close to the bread line now that they can not afford even a days loss in pay let alone any more.
