Wait until Omicron starts sweeping through delivery offices, no social distancing or good air ventilation and only 50-60% wearing a mask = lots of failed deliveries. Anyway it's only our health, RM profit is the most important thing. By the way anyone seen the union? (que tumbleweed)

Have Royal Mail even enforced the mask wearing. It’s the usual suspects at ours that don’t wear them. Then they feign shock when we have a outbreak.

What beggars belief for me is that several of the die hard non mask wearers in our DO have previously had Covid and said how horrible it was.

Obviously not horrible enough... :d'oh!

OPG
Listening to you answer questions shows just how out of touch you are with the workforce.

Simon Thompson
Hi OPG let’s catch up - would be great to hear your views as well - Simon.d.thompson@royalmail.com - to make it easier we will reach out to find a time that works

OPG
Simon Thompson is there any point, you were catching up with me last time I contacted you. I gave up waiting to hear from you.

Simon Thompson
Someone from the CEO's office has dropped you a line - feel free to IM her directly - thank you

OPG
I’ve had a message requesting a time for a phone call. Unfortunately that’s not something I’m prepared to to, I’d much prefer it on here so other people can see your responses to questions as there are many questions which you don’t answer.

Simon Thompson
ok - if you change your mind - drop Someone from the CEO's office a note

OPG
Alternatively if you change your mind and want to answer questions on here feel free to reach out. I’m sure many members of the team would love to hear you too.

 That boy's got bollocks!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I can sort of understand why Simon doesnt want to be drawn into answering questions on a public forum . . . But at the same time, isnt that the whole point of Workplace (which im not on) and his whole “TEAM” ethos? Its not really a good look to straight away jump to the safety of “lets chat on the phone” because he must know that most will find that quite an intimidating thing to do.

Another OPG
Simon Thompson you did catch up with me and Really appreciated you taking the time , but it was pointless, vacancies not even filled, absolutely no help for xmas, shortage of vans. Worst Xmas in 30years and it seems like it’s reflected across most offices! We should have invested in jobs(AND TRAINING) on the back of increased volumes and revenue, to hold on to it but instead stood still as a business again!

I still think maybe naively that this isn’t Simons fault but people either telling him porkies down the chain or people out of their depth. I’ve never seen a Xmas as bad in over 20 years for planning, but that could be down to the unreliable COVID data from last year.

Do we think the awful revisions were an unfortunate mistake ?
