Re: Van Share
I doubt you could refuse to van share on the grounds that your partner has not had a vaccination unless perhaps you had a documented underlying illness that put you at greater risk.
Also there's no real way of verifying whether someone has had a vaccination at the moment.

Re: Van Share
I think the whole handing the PDA to customers to sign needs a total rethink. RM are selling services at the moment that require a signature, but they are only getting the GPS data for a scan, as the signature is the OPG's XP etc.wookie wrote: ↑07 May 2021, 17:57What if your van share partner has not had or refused to get vaccinated? Will Royal Mail force you to van share? And if they bring back van sharing, then I assume, will bring back pda signatures and handing parcels over to customers. It looks a bit of a double standard to say 'you must van share but keep signing for stuff yourself'.![]()
We've had lots of issues in our area with denial of receipt and 9 times out of 10 it is based around 'I didn't sign for that'. That makes many customers think straight away that they have been somehow been diddled.

Re: Van Share
It would depend on your experience of van sharing and the alternative to van sharing.

You'd be surprised how many folk think the opposite is the case, where it's the posties responsibility.

Re: Van Share
Royal Mail love van share as it’s the best divide and rule tool they’ve ever come up with

Re: Van Share
Well, this is going to be awful. Another reason to leave the company on top of the many new reasons to. Possible Sunday working coming in, more parcels to deliver and now probably more post due to all the online shopping sign ups and therefore junk mail after junk mail to deliver, more pressure all round with another Postie breathing down your neck.

Re: Van Share
I personally don't want it back. Being stuck with slow/racist/smelly/obnoxious/shafting people, or all the above combined in one person isn't for me. I enjoy being able to rely on myself alone to complete or not

Re: Van Share
Won't it ultimately come down to what option is cheaper for RM?
