The Area manager is on a personal contract subject to one of Allan's reviews.

We'd a Area planning mgr on gardening leave which means RM don't know what to do with him , ambitious looking for a scalp, from Bolton in central lancs , usual twist everything on it's head, the Line Mgr doing the "The "Fact" Finding "investigation" with a "colourful record " had previously been disciplined for saying "What the **** has it got to do with you , fat ugly bitch", the MCM wanted that ML4 as a scalp (that colourful manager had obstructed the disabled parking space as he wanted to show off his sports car!].

Soon got sorted two magic words PAPERS TRIBUNUAL.

Norbet, big Dave has been sacked and is awaiting a date to go to an Employment Tribunal.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Also this thread won't move so it'll be where it is until it's over,i've 'cemented'it.
My sister lives near there.
The best story I read in "Voice" was a manager in a rough council estate pub mouthing off about a postie being under investigation, so the postie had "visits" from shady characters & had to do a roof-top protest , great!

According to Courier "fair but firm" managers were put into DO's to "discourage" unofficial IA, nothing to do with cocking up SDD of course.

RM look up the following words in a dictionary - contradiction -responsibility-idiotic -loud mouth yob in a suit- petty blame culture

You need a decent lawyer to pick holes in RM's "case " , thier arrogance is actually thier Achilles Heel but careful that the IT Chairman chooses to believe RM's version , better to go the balance of probabilities route with proper prosecution . Sorry I was under the impression he was still suspended at the time.

Our rep has ordered an office banner/flag to use on marches and picket lines. Any other office got their own flag?

L Tommo wrote:Big Daves treatment even from a layman and someone not in touch of all the first hand facts knows how RM acts in these cases...

Very very Poorly and bias.. I myself will be at an IT soon. As the internal practise of a SO CALLED FAIR HEARING is just the opposite!!!

BIG DAVE WILL GET JUSTICE IF THE FACTS ARE LAID OUT CORRECTLY.. I say this as we can all be blinded by the heat of the passion we feel in a meeting with the screws and they play on this and try and make us blow our tops or put leading Q's to us.. In mine was the same, I never lost it but was close, as its all INTERNAL and even with a Rep, its ur word against theres.. I wanted to tape the meeting but the screw said no she wouldnt go on in this case, i said i have nothing to hide or nor should she!! She could have a copy of the tape...
SO WHY NOT?? ITS SERIOUS ENOUGH!!! It makes our lives a misery if as in Big Daves case and many others, causes stress in home life and slights the morals of the person.. So the CWU MUST flag this at conference that STG1&2 SHOULD have a right of appeal and as the police do in interviews tape them.. (IF BOTH WANT) It should be an option as RM Screws lie as well some posties will and this will stop this.. FAIR ALL ROUND!! RM can hide behind the Offical Secrets act or bringing RM in to dispute, as done in cases where Postie has came out in public and disclosed the unfair treatment dished out By RM!!! BIG BROTHER, MEN IN GREY SUITS ARE HERE FOR US UN/LUCKY POSTIES. So lets level the playing field a little... ask your screw in interview to tape it or even video it!!! That will put the wind up em!!!
FACTS AND THE TRUTH IS ALL WE HAVE!! AS WE AINT GOT
JUSTICE[
I agree about tapes, it proves cases are outside the law as always! , Lord Sawyer recomended a panel comprised of ACAS , the union & RM to keep things within the Post Office .

I've heard of mobile phone video functions being used by posties, but RM would twist things that YOU NOT THEM are being underhand. What will happen is minutes will be taken but they are purely to impress with the odd bit to "make things look straight" , there is leading questions to elict a desired response, in a court the judge would overrule the barrister etc.

There's a apologist on a bickering forum that say's you are not discriminated against if you are not lesbian/bi/ gay , on gender /race, it's purely because the majority are white/straight etc. To allege otherwise you are in BNP territory which is insulting /offensive & it's glib & trite nonsense. That card is always the last refuge of the scoundrel

.Even Nick Griffin won his case as his team changed tact from the last case.

They say their cases are proven internally & in ET's but that begs more questions than it answers and can be challenged /contradicted as we all know.
There is the balance of probabilities , RM's arrogance is they THINK they can do beyond all reasonable doubt, but their cases tend to be disgenous, misleading & deceptive. Just needs the right prosecution to ram things home.RM THINK a ET will wave everything through.

THE LAW..

Post by L Tommo »

I asked if i could have all the notes and interviews from my Appeal of a H&B case i put in and was told "NO AS ITS NOT A CODE OF CONDUCT..." Then i asked if RM act in this manor then they think they are higher than the laws of this land... It fell on deaf ears as it was then said. "THIS AINT A COURT OF LAW." I then said "YES I KNOW BUT IT WILL BE IF THIS ISNT DELT WITH CORRECTLY AND FAIRLY." Deaf ears and a brazen act followed.. I was put on a CODE OF CONDUCT . For putting in a case of H&B/Grievence. IN BAD FAITH...... I thought it was our right to put thesae in IF you felt something is said or doen against you. As it was agreed in my 1st case on my side.. But RM wouldnt do anything.. So i appeal and then RM find ME GUILTY... CLASS ACT RM!!! SEE YOU IN A PLACE LAW IS VALID.........

It's purely to deter you from putting H&B cases against managers. Orders are from the top of HR, one pathetic excuse was a Area Manager had left the business so it was allright then!.
The TUC's survey stated RM was 2nd only to the Prison Service for this.So NOBODY is to make trouble. The "brainchild" of this was AL , I will not be dictated to by the union.26% of EOC cases were sexual harassment by RM mgrs.
