Got a kiss from a nice Polish lady this morning. She's been waiting for some documents from home for 3 weeks now. So today she had an International Recorded. She was so pleased to get it she gave me a big kiss on the cheek. Which brightened up my morning considerably.
Just spilt stain-remover down my shirt. Now how do I get that out?

Tuesday was heavy, weight wise, but actual mail count not too bad. Loads of flats, magazines etc, hardly any packets. Today was heavy both weight wise and actual amount of mail although packets again were ok. Been waiting since September last year for a drop box but am beginning to lose all hope now.

Has anybody else noticed an increase in packets over the past 2 days? I'm now filling half my van just with packets (including one that I delivered tday that the person only ordered at 3pm yesterday :hmmmm ).

Another stunning post Heapsy. You can't imagine how we all look forward to your daily reports so we can compare them with our own mundane experiences. Will you be bringing out a Christmas Annual with the best of them included?

Was'nt as heavy today as its been all week, everyone was in a good mood this morning, the office was buzzing which has'nt happened in such a long time. :Very Happy :dance
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Our office definately wasnt buzzing today and hasnt for a while! Morale is at an alltime low down here and next week is going to drag it down even more. I asked for 30 minutes excess today as it was so heavy and was told by the manager i could absorb it! This is after being tested a few months ago when georoute came in and ive got a sheet signed by the manager that my walk is 3hours 58 minutes long! Thats without the acceleration out and back. When i complained she held her hand up towards my face and said the conversation was over! Im now in bed absolutely knackered while my two young daughters want me to play. In my 22 years in royal mail since leaving school ive never felt so let down by the so called people in charge. What the hell does the future hold for us if this rubbish is happening now?

Took it pretty easy really, 4 and a bit hours to save my energy for tomorrow morning when I've got to fly to be finished in time to get home, shower and get to the pub for the Chelsea game, just got home after a collection and it looks like an early night, downside is no England 1st half performance to send me packing off to bed at 9 o' clock like on Wednesday.

Place was buzzing today with chat about last nights program on News Night. On the mail side we had the usual stuff. Lapsing done en-mass again, about 20 to a walk. Off for the weekend and looking forward to a couple of nights out. Tonight down the Legh and tomorrow off into town for a retirement do. :chuckle

Yesterday was the heaviest (loads or mailsort catalogues and DSA) and busiest day I have done for a good 12 months. The reason I say I done was I thought I'd deliver it all instead of cutting off to prove a point that I can be flexible when I don't have kids to pick up. What a mistake that was last letter delivered at 4pm and by the time the bus came I did not get back to office till 4:35pm. I just hope it ain't a bust saturday today.
Royal Mail won't break me, though its been fairly close recently!
