Good point last week on Weds, Thurs, Fri, Sat we were sorting from 6.30 - 9am.
People were leaving the office at 11am!
Think how that will work if your last van doesn't roll in until 9am or even later.
Oh and then there is always the unspecified longer delivery to look forward to.
11am may seem like a flyer shortly.

Same here, we can be in the office from 5.00am to 10.30am most days and thats without a meal break !

Thats not a problem, all you neeed to do is take your meal break from 10:30 - 11:10, and you'll have 1 hour and 50 minutes to travel to, deliver and travel from your duty. With around 20 mins allowed for travel all you need to take out with you is 1 hour and 30 minutes of mail. The rest isn't of any concern to you!
Simples!!!! We all know thier latest scheme aint gonna work as we are the footmen/women and know what the job in todays climate entails more than what RM and our great union, therefore we dont rush around like idiots ,work to our time, or tell your dimlo you aint gonna get finished and then he has to sort it himself or pay someone overtime. Then when its costing them thousands and thousands a day in overtime they might just might rethink thier stragedy. Theres NO WAY im bursting a gut for a pay cut, not a chance, wheres the incentive in that???

Lovejoy is just one CWU mbr expressing a view, unless you have soild evidence that is some big wig rather than somebody who has acess to info supplied from a big wig, I would suggest you treat him as a fellow rank and file mbr with with a alternative view point.
No, he is genuine. Just look at his posts in the 2007 archive. He gave us accurate information, before it was announced. How else could he have got hold of it?

I am awaiting the publishing of the guidelines on CDVs, Work standards and the menu of options for delivery duties as these will be key to seeing what the future holds and also how serious RM are about fair workloads.
When we have these i'll make a judgement based on the whole document. My branch has called a meeting and one of the Unions officers is attending. Has yours done the same?
