Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Really good day today if you ignore the fact it was rather wet, sky mags, had to complete d2d that had not been done on the days I was on another duty, and was summoned to the bosses office to be told they were changing my duty and start time. Arr well these things are sent to test us! Now instead of cutting off 2 to 5 times a month I will have the potential to cut off 4 days a week as my new finish time is only 15mins before my kids finish school.
I didnt need to cut off today even if i had wanted to as it was already done for me so i finished just over my time, bring on the bank holiday.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Torrential rain today but on a happier note, I cut off again
that's everyday that I've been on this duty, still, everything is fine according to the DOM
With cutting off an hour everyday I actually feel better and much less tired than at anytime in recent history so I'd recommend that everybody stops with the OT and stops trying to finish unworkable duties on time and learns to relax and cut off
I'm waiting for the 'everyone else on the duty can finish it, why can't you?' speech to which I'll ask for training to let me know where I'm going wrong (the DOM wont pay for training).
Anyway, Saturday's my day off (and Monday) so I'll have a couple of beers tonight (and then a lot more
) and chill for the weekend

Cut off again, it was heavy but I could've completed in time if I had a van that the key worked ok in. All day I had trouble trying to open the doors, by the time I had got onto my last bag I could'nt get the drivers door open to get to my next road and had to wander off and find a phonebox to call the office, LM then came out with a spare set. 40p to make a call from a phonebox
I'll make sure I get that back tomorrow.

Slightly easier today. Only 1 recorded item, (pouched off) Plenty of flats, but had a few gaps here and there. Bright sunny day, until about 1 ish then the rain started until end of duty.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
I got locked out the house by my dog this morning. He was jumping up at the door as I was talking to the postie and he managed to knock the keys in the lock and locked the bloody door.
Still got to work on time after a rather irate OH came and gave me a bollocking for getting myself locked out (cos it was my fault obviously).
Pretty crap day in the RLE, town is full of people here for the extravaganza so we couldn't get anywhere in town without queueing. 5 boxes we were unable to get to at all.
Locked up and there was a car in the car park that didn't belong to any staff... so I put the barrier down and came home!

Busy day Saturday. Hardly anyone on the IPS. Sun was shining.
