Heavy. Not just the traffic, but the actual weight. Loads of mags and brochures to deliver. Packets were not that bad tho. Warm sunny day. Found out that we wont be working Good Friday.

Time did you finish on tuesday? Being the lightest day (Not always).......Theres guys like yourself in my office who go in and TRY and claim 30 mins when the day before they were finished 1 hr before there time!
If you calculate your hours for the week that you worked against your contracted hours and are over then yes claim!

I book OT each day at the end of the week if I have gone under any days then it does get deducted before i'm paid however the last time I was under my contracted 5 hrs aday was jan 2008 just before I changed to my current duty.EatMyShorts wrote:I understand that but.......Flexibility.tiredwalker wrote:And your point, I worked it so I claim it! if it was 2 minutes i'd still claim it don't do nothing for free.EatMyShorts wrote:You claimed 10 mins overtime?tiredwalker wrote:Not a bad day all in all after a few days off sick, still booked 10mins OT and some parcels taken off me.

Tuesday day off, monday off sick however on the quietest of days my duty is still over 4hrs so I always do my 5hrs min a day.

Wrong so very wrong.
RM have a plan at the moment to utilise all paid hours in the future. This means that at the moment if there is no work for you to do and you have not received instructions to go back to the office, or there is no local agreement over ruling the national agreement then you do not "bank" the 1/2 hour you finish early 1 day and then use it on a busy day, unless you want to. You cannot be compelled to bank hours unless there is a local agreement to do so.
We used to finish late and not book it at my DO because we had gained 1/2 hr or so earlier in the week. Then local management used the early finish days to grab more hours or change duties, but ignored the late unclaimed OT.
At the moment Banking hours, which is what you describe, has not been agreed nationally - it will - but it hasn't yet.

Friday and Saturday were both heavy. Loads of flats and DSA. Quite a few recorded items too. Sun has been out, so it has been warm and dry most of the time. Dreading the coming week with nobody in on Good Friday.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Why are you dreading it - there are only two options a) do loads of overtime and make something out of the situation or, b)work to your contracted hours and relax for the rest of the day while someone else worries about it - surely one of those must be acceptable.heapsy wrote:Friday and Saturday were both heavy. Not as bad as I thought it would be today, but still plenty on. Most of the packets didn't arrive, as per usual, so I guess they will be in the office come tomorrow.

Less on than yesterday!
Not many packets, but 6 recorded. Loads of gaps between drops. Really strange. Sun was out, and it's my day off tomorow.
