TBT the four mail centres which they are using are Romford , Croydon , Jubilee and Greenford.
Pickaname and Dvbuk if you read the agreement the overarching objective of the agreement is to avoid complusory redundncies. Now perhaps you need to look up what overarching means. For ease of reference it means the primary objective , the priority , its means the most important. Now the agreement also states that unless the peoples issues are resolved work will not be phased out. Royal Mail are breaking the BTA agreement.
Now Dvbuk the National Executive have endorsed the London Ballot , the DGSP has writtten to all London Members expressing the unions support. In addittion the proposition which is going to the PEC on Wednesday and Conference in two weeks time does change everything which involves the whole of the CWU.

Re: Big call for the Postal Executive
And have been since day 1.Royal Mail are breaking the BTA agreement.
It's just a shame it had to get to the "overarching" bit before some stood up and took notice.
Is it any wonder that some people think that London carries undue influence in this union?
If HQ were trying to fragment this union they couldn't have made a better job of it.
Twelve months of having issues ignored and swept under the table has completely destroyed any chance of coordinated action...
No doubt it's almost time to blame the members again.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Re: Big call for the Postal Executive
I am well aware of what overarching means dingo, it is a long word designed to confuse the gullible, used BEFORE to avoid compulsory redundancies, now what part of that do you not understand? What it means for ease of reference is that if compulsory redundancies cannot be avoided they WILL be used and THAT is the wording of the agreement NOT "there will be no redundancies under any circumstances" - that for ease of reference is totally unambiguous and IS worth a fight.dingo wrote:TBT the four mail centres which they are using are Romford , Croydon , Jubilee and Greenford.

Re: Big call for the Postal Executive
A mate of mine attended WTLL on Friday and was told that travel money would be paid to the displaced London staff... but only for one year. Is the manager bullsh!tting or is that hidden away in the 2010 agreement ?dvbuk55 wrote: I have read on this forum of people travelling 30 miles a day to work and back and that is without recompense, whereas any move on relocation is paid for
How would that work, then ? You report to your old place of work and the crew bus takes you to your new office ? And for how long would that arrangement be in place ? Six months, a year ?dvbuk55 wrote: there has, I believe, been the offer of crew buses to ferry workers in and out.

I really don't know but I would presume that it would be for the usual 3 years. Crew buses would generally pick up at suitable places along the route.wandle wrote:A mate of mine attended WTLL on Friday and was told that travel money would be paid to the displaced London staff... but only for one year. At a previous company I worked for when there was major movement of the workforce there was a scheme whereby you claimed the travelling allowance as a lump sum to enable you to buy transport if you wished.................that could I suppose be a negotiable position.

Re: Big call for the Postal Executive
Question is how much MTSF.... and how much MTSF2 goes into future EVR or even C R??Royal Mail has also confirmed they are using MTSF 2 as the selection criteria for individuals choosing duties. For ease of reference
this means that if a duty exists in the receiving Mail Centre which attracts a shift allowance, then the person who gets first pick is the
individual who has been on the shift the longest and not the most senior. If individuals have been on the shift from the introduction of
the way forward in 2000 then it will be done on seniority.
