Not really, the big boys pay for 'Photo Capture on Delivery' so denial of receipt goes down.
It's not hard to take a photo when the door is open or 739 when not in.

If we can't or won't or don't do it, then Hermes/Yodel/DPD/whoever WILL do it.
They are all doing it-albeit with the doors closed over the gate etc but if we can't do it, then others will and those poor feckers won't get paid per parcel if not done correctly no doubt.

That is why and how we got these big contracts.

Well, to give you a real world example of what I do.

If customer is at home, I take picture of parcel on the doorstep, and make a comment about how "we're copying Hermes" nowadays.

If they're not at home and they have a decent safe place, I will select "safe place" take a picture and leave it in the shed / garage /porch etc, and then post a p739 letting them know where the parcel is.

At this point, I've probably "safe placed" thousands of parcels that didn't have an in-flight request, or a safe place on the label. Never had a single Denial of Receipt complaint.

And I'll continue doing so, because lets face it, the job is bloody soul destroying if you don't bend the rules to get s**t delivered. Believe me, I've tried to do the job by the book, It's impossible, all you end up doing is pissing off all the customers, and you can't get anything delivered, literally took half a van load of parcels back to the DO.

I'd rather just get a job with Hermes than do that s**t on the daily.

Capture Photo on Delivery Update:

Hi everyone,
Ops compliance for Capture Photo on Delivery landed at 99.1% for Wednesday, the target is 99%.
We have checked 960 photos from Tuesday, of which 317 were non–compliant which is 33% of the overall sample
We still have some work to do with the compliance of the photographs taken by our frontline staff, below are a few images from the photo sampling taken yesterday.

Perfect example of double speak here - Ops compliance for photos was 99.1 so break out the champers team - target achieved,
but sssshhh don't tell the customer that a third of the photos sampled were non-compliant so that's probably representative
throughout the whole lot........

RM stop repeating this until you've trained EVERY SINGLE POSTIE and sorted out the visibility of the 'P' or
created a pop up warning that a photo is required.......

Ops compliance for Capture Photo on Delivery on Thursday landed at 99.2% the target is 99%.
We have checked 1’355 photos from Thursday, of which 456 were non–compliant which is 34% of the overall sample
We still have some work to do with the compliance of the photographs taken by our frontline staff, below are a few images from the photo sampling taken yesterday.

Top 3 non-compliant reasons are:

· No door visible
· Door not open, and parcel not in picture
· Parcel in picture, however door not open

I noticed a few of the non-compliant photos are clearly taken in the DO. What's the scenario there? Are managers instructing people to scan Trackeds as delivered when they haven't left the office?

Capture Photo on Delivery - New customer announcement, extended service and PDA upgrades

We are pleased to announce that from today, we have welcomed the Very Group as a customer for our Photo Capture on Delivery Tracked products.

Very is our latest customer for our growing Photo Capture service, which was introduced in November 2021 for boohoo items (phase one) and then swiftly extended to Marks and Spencer.

Having listened to our customers, we are also pleased to announce that we are now preparing to provide Capture Photo to all RM Tracked 24/48 Non-Signature customers (phase two).

This will allow us to retain existing business, win new business and compete with our competitors.

From the beginning the of March 2022, RM Tracked 24/48 Non-Signature items will require a Capture photo on Delivery.

We have listened to your feedback and worked with some of our delivery colleagues to make changes to ensure Capture Photo is more prominently visible on your PDA.

We know was causing some challenges. As a first step, we have increased the size of the ‘P’ Indicator, put it in a large red circle and highlighted the item number with a yellow band (see below).

A PDA upgrade is being installed between Sunday 20 February and Monday 28 February and will require your PDA to be cradled overnight.

So no more leaving packages/parcels in "safe" places unless nominated by the customer, even when they do that it's usually one for their old address where they had a front porch etc. Plus we now have to photograph even Tracked items which fit though letter boxes, I assume including COVID kits, how much longer will this add to each day?
