Back when I first started I covered a rough area one Saturday morning and outside one of the decaying tenements was a trail of coins and ID cards that led to a wallet on the third floor. Far be it for me to suggest the classy residents of one of the flats might have borrowed it from someone on Friday night. Being a good citizen I handed it into the police station when I finished (left the coins, though).
The machine stops.

found a twenty quid note on a patch of grass (not anyone's property) once. no one around who might have dropped it, so trousered it.

i've seen plenty of pound coins on people's paths and drives, but if it's on their property i would never consider touching it.

it's probably been covered before but if there's money on the floor it's mine - 'So talk to my manager.. '..

( not that I've got an attitude problem or anything.. ).

( I did not post this post - I'm not allowed to say who did by 'The Official Secrets Act "014' as ratified by my favourite EU Minister who, along with all the other minted b*st*rds in this neck of the woods, chose not to tip me this Christmas.. Not that I'm sore or anything.. )

Was it a mass suicide or do you suspect fowl play?
