Absolute bullshit
You are just a complete stirrer
I've never heard anyone bar you mention blue shirt mentality, I honestly find you a disgrace and a s**t stirring bully, I've had enough of your s**t and lies, how dare you say folk didn't work hard before you came along, proves you know nothing, good mind to report you to r.m. about your behaviour
Cobblers. Firms used to get sacks full of mail rather than just the odd letter and considerably more parcels than now. Mail generally was much busier. I'm sure blue shirts will remember all the Readers Digest rubbish we used to get and remember good old Sky mags !!
What is true is that the job has changed with scan this , scan this, collect this, collect that but it was never as easy as you seem to think it was
I would say we used to shift daily an amount of mail that would currently require my walk to sit in the frame for a week. 6 days into 1: that's pretty consistent with a 70% fall of since 2006. On the flipside, packets are up 300% since then.
Plus stuffing a handful of mail though a letterbox is a damn sight quicker than finding the correct parcel in the van, scanning the parcel, knocking the door twice then waiting whilst the customer decides to walk to the front door, putting the dog in another room, before finding the right key to open as if they haven't used their front door for weeks.
You forgot the part where they go upstairs to get the key after finding out the door is locked it’s certainly an interaction you don’t get posting letters.
What are you 2 on about! People on walking deliveries have this nearly every day - are you two still on firm deliveries? If your duties are like the firm deliveries in ours they do sod all especially on a Saturday
I was simply referring to the OP who said delivering just mail in the past was harder work, whatever type of duty you know do takes more time if you have to interact with customers.
