Oh what a fun day, I was down to do a convey duty when I went in, then I was told the regular driver was coming in so I'll be on a walk, so get round to the frame which was full of mech bundles and cut offs from Saturday, start to prep that, then eventually LM came round told me to prep the convey duty stuff as the guy has'nt turned up yet
In the end I ended up doing the convey duty as the driver had'nt turned up. They just like to create problems
Oh and the walkers had sh*t loads of light bulbs
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Finished about 2pm on Saturday, loads on. Today was busier, loads of packets and large flats. Struggled pouching off due to the small pouches and too many packets to get rid of.

Couldn't believe our luck in the Manchester area, listening to traffic problems due to flooding and severe weather on radio 2 seemingly over most of the country and we stayed dry all day, even after a forecast of heavy rain. Our weather seems too unpredictable at the moment, with wild variances from forecasts made 24 hours earlier - most of one of my panniers is filled with alternative clothing arrangements. Maybe a collapsible dinghy or folding skis would be a good idea for the other one.johnnyp wrote:Same here mate, that had to be one of the worst days rain wise ive ever done in this jobriverdale wrote:FECKIN WET ! :cfo :lfo

Met some of the Part-time guys on my way in for a packet duty........all 1 hour overtime on a nice quiet tuesday. Managers complete incompetence cause this every week. Tuesday is the latest finish for 22.5 hours contract in our office........but all the OT does make up our wages every week

If they all had witnesses even if its each other then they should be safe enough. But boy don't it piss you off when they try these tricks. :lfo :cfofatherchristmas wrote:complete c##t of a day heavy, and 20 cwu members face conduct code for leaving mail in the office even though their line manager instructed them to do that.![]()
