Is all D2D's in the whole frame???? If it is, must be a bummer for whoever's pulling out the duty.. how do you manage seperating D2D's & mail later on in the week?

It takes less than 5 mins extra to pull out just were you are going with addressed mail and saves on all the dead walking delivering to addresses with d2d only

Don't think Georoute or revisions will be done to that spec
It will probably be done to that great victory the union got us 1/6 a day into workload that saves all of our jobs and makes all walks reasonable and stops all the bullying from Doms.
Yeah I can remember all of you saying just that when the agreement and the d2d into workload guidlines were published
I hear so many on here saying how unmanageable their workload is yet when something is suggested to make it easier, you get the "do the job properly" brigade banging their drum.
If you make your duty as easy to manage as possible it doesn't mean you have to fly round cut corners or finish early to make more lapsing possible. You can use it to take more breaks walk at a more comfortable speed and relieve some of the stress and pressure to complete duty in time.

D2d ,Must be going against the Equal Pay law {1970} Which prohibits any less favourable treatment between men and women pay and conditions.Example,Last week my duty has 600 drops .D2Dx2.This week no d2d.yet same wage umm!
Part time workers get less than full time yet they can do the same walk and more d2d.If This is not taken out of our wage plan, and replaced to pay per item we need to take action .I'm talking about workloads.I'm talking about fair pay for all workers, you do the work pay them. While I'm on the subject, lapsing, not got no props with it what ever walk I'm on .BUT who gets the £20.00 wk when we do the d2D's?

I am not sure how many times I have posted this but no doubt because, IMHO, the wording of the agreements is so bad I think it will be many more times.

The Delivery Supplement is based on contracted hours not volume of work.

The Delivery Supplement is not a payment for D2D work in any way shape or form and never will be.

Who gets the £20 for the lapsed walks D2D - No one because the delivery supplement is paid to everyone, as individuals, in the Deliveries Function and we don't get paid for D2Ds anymore.

gb93 wrote: Quick question, As a result of prepping all d2d on a Monday in place of lapsing do you lapse extra rest of week
No, we only lapse 2 duties, Tuesday to Friday. We used to lapse Monday as well. Prepping all d2d on the Monday is what 90% of the office used to do anyway. We just take where we're going each day and make sure that they are cleared by Saturday.
To be honest, it does make it easier for us as most duties can be completed in time (including lapsing and 16% d2ds per day). Doing it this way means less lapsing and no need to cold call except at the end of the week when you're going to the places that haven't had any mail.
This procedure was agreed by the DOM and the Union Rep and works in our office, like most things however, one size does not fit all.

Spooky, you have just descibed my exact workload and way of handling d2d works well for me also.
Office sounds very similar to mine too.
It does work well doesn't it, a little leeway and responsibility doesn't have to lead to chaos.

It does not matter how bold you make the writing, or how red it is TBT. Thats because and quite rightly, people who did D2D's see the payment they get now, are still for Door 2 Door's. It might not be the case but thats exactly how people will see it after 20 years or so of payments.

The Union and Royal Mail have conned us all by claiming otherwise. They REDUCED the payments of the minority by making it pro-rata and giving it to people who did not deserve it to bribe idiots into voting yes.

Thats the long and short of it really.

People are not failing to understand this new system, but more failing to believe it.

BUT who gets the £20.00 wk when we do the d2D's?..As said we don't get paid to deliver them, what you should be asking is who gets the money that is budgeted to that walk, if it's not you then it must be managers, thank god I don't lapse like everybody else in my office.

The answer to who gets the £20.60 DelSup for that walk is no-one and yet everyone.

The walks/duties themselves are themselves not budgeted and neither are posties. Both I believe are centrally budgeted. Its only hours, (including absence, training, sickness etc) and the unit costs of those hours that are budgeted locally.
