I think that is RM's plan. I'd guess lots of pt's will never see the inside of a DO if RM get their way. Bags dropped to hand and the whole of the duty just delivering . Of course you would need a lot more vans.....hang on a sec ,but you would also need to get rid of the maximum delivery span....uh oh

RM reckon they will save so much time with sequenced mail ,Ft's will prep multiple walks deliver drop bags do packets and complete a walk ,and the flyers will most likely get collections tagged on to their duty as well

It is the Dutch delivery model that RM are so enamoured with - one FT in an office prepping & bagging the mail for 5+ walks then getting the mail out to PTs on low hrs contracts for them to deliver ( for example 3 normal walks could be reworked into 5 or 6 X 2hr deliveries, and one FT would prep them, bag them, then take the pouches and replenishment bags round to each individual delivery officer & leave them to it....possibly expecting them to work from their home as the safe drop or using the DO as the safe drop, and how they do it would be up to them, with RM taking no responsibility ).

You might be right but i intend to make the difference not sit on the fence and get splinters in my backside i will tell the truth about this deal to the few who will listen and the many who will not!.

It's a good point Lovejoy but lets be honest the lump sums are not exactly.......lumpy.
And the reps i have spoken to are not exactly..........impressed.

Hopefully the reps will be the ones who read it and give their honest and unbridled opinion. The lump sums are a joke and people will not be so easily swayed this time, so if Ward and Co think this will be a shoe in..............................good luck to them.

I agree , BUTand that's a big but it does raise the question of why our top brass are putting this deal to the membership.? A deal that condemns them to more work for less reward for ever,with a little sweetener just to pull the wool over their eyes and exploit the desperate.
