I started a few months ago. When I signed my contract, I was already working at 6am - one of the first person in my office to start at 6am I'm guessing, as a lot of people did a double take when I told them my contract told me to start at 6 - many people didn't know that times was going to change apparently. Currently I'm on a job share with a regular postie, so I stay on the same walk (about 400 call points) all the time. Love the walk - steep but offers beautiful views of the city.

I ride to work - yes, I ride the Mailstar bike to my office despite living in a hilly city - we've got the steepest residential hill in a lot of countries allegedly - luckily not covered by my office. My times varies depending on the load of mail. I don't do any sorting apart from prepping my frame. Here's 2 times, light and heavy:

Light day:

6:00 - Arrive work, start prep/parcels/D2D
8:00 - Tie up
8:15 - Missorts arrive
8:25 - Finish tie up - pouches to driver
8:30 - SD handed out - out on my bike to my start point of my walk (furthest walk from my office, up a long hill - typical)
9:00 - Start delivery
11:30 - 12:00 - Finish - ride to post office (only 1/4 km but bloody hills)
15 mins later - Pouch off @ post office then ride home up "Heart Attack Hill" (bloody Mailstars not having enough gears!)
30 mins later - Arrive home.

Heavy day:

6:00 - Arrive work, start prep/parcels/D2D
8:15 - Missorts arrive
8:30 - SD handed out
9:00 - Tie up
9:25 - Finish tie up - frantically run around finding someone to drive my pouches.
9:30 - Out on my bike to my start point of my walk
10:00 - Start delivery
12:30 - 13:00 - Finish - ride to post office
15 mins later - Pouch off @ post office then ride home
30 mins later - Arrive home.

I don't take my meal break as I usually finish way too early to justify one, but after having my ear bent by my girlfriend last week after she read all the CWU stuff, I'm going to always take my meal breaks... but what time am I entitled to a meal break and how long for?

I always ride my works bike and don't start early anyway, though will start taking my meal breaks. Not sure if I'm going to bother with the weight limits as my bags are very light anyway and it's hard to split bags. Maybe later when the Xmas load starts....
