Scotland doesn't do the census until next year.
We get the joy of another election instead.

Locally we've got the Police & Crime Commissioner elections and probably local elections as well this year.

Anyone know what format the initial 26 million odd census letters will be?

What format?

They're door to doors.

Not all of them.
There's 24 million initial contact letters which is every door and will be addressed.
Then there's 18 million reminder letters.
Then about 4 million questionnaires in total.

It's all in house so probably RM 1st class.
Questionnaires probably A4 size.

Woody, have you got Police & Crime Commissioner elections up in Scotland? Is it one just covering the whole of Scotland or a different one for each county?

Speaking of elections, it makes me wonder if electoral resister letters might go out in areas that have got Police & Crime Commissioner elections and/or local elections

We don't do the police and crime commissioner thing up here.
I guess it's one non job we've managed to avoid.
The electoral register letters went out a couple of weeks ago up here.

The initial contact letters have started coming through (thankfully not the whole lot in one go). They DSA mech letters so you should get them through with your sequenced mail

Nearly 25 million contact letters. I think the idea is that most people do it online

Any HMO house of multiple occupancy will get the paper version and people who request because they don't want to do it online.

We got ours today , we left " proper" work ,letters and flats in yorkies to make sure all the census letters were delivered.
