Peeing on delivery

If I need a pee, I back van up to wall and open both back doors and stand in between them, so I'm covered all way around, alternatly park along side wall, open drivers door and drivers side back door, jobs a good one

An interesting day, if everyone came back to the office every 2 hours for a restroom break!

Ahh,the joy of having a spare van (aka) death trap from another office to find it full of rubbish and a bottle of piss!!what a class act we are,trust me it’s happened,needless to say I refused to drive it !you think basic stuff like this would be sorted out but as usual it’s just left to be sorted out but never is clarified,

Like others have said usually if you’re in a van there’ll be somewhere you can drive to, to go. Not yet done the empty coke bottle trick but in December I did some 8 hour outdoor shifts on rounds without any facilities which were getting very close.

I actually find summer fine, even when I’ve had 5 or 6 bottles.

Not so easy for women. Our small office will close at the end of this week so we won’t be able to use the toilet. I’m dreading it. Due to COVID other facilities are out of bounds. I have asked a local cafe if we can use his loo but he isn’t always open. It would take too long to go back to the delivery office or home. The back of the van is full so no space for a bucket and of course the cold weather makes it worse. Any tips from fellow lady posties?

God you can’t make this stuff up could you? There must be a manager or director in charge of this welfare break debarkle surely?must be a policy written down that we should adhere to,?i dare say a bit of common sense must come into play,but can’t help thinking a conversation has to be had with your boss ? So just where do I go when out on my round if I need to? Yes I guess back to the office if you can,go before you leave ,and probably a couple of times whilst on delivery,

What about when they extend deliveries to 5 hr spans, during this covid epidemic virtually all businesses, hotels, etc where they kindly let you use the facillities are closed. So another massive problem that is ignored by royal mail,im not the driver , so take a bus about 30 mins from depot to start of the walk, who cares about someone needing the loo, no one, so rightly so this person got the award for unfair dismissal , he should also be reinstated to the business, THE BEST WAY TO LET THE MANAGEMENT FIND HOW DIFFICULT THIS PROBLEM IS , IS TO TAKE THE FULL WALK OUT THEMSELVES EXACTLY THE WAY WE DO IT, THEN WE WILL SEE.

Extend our deliveries to 5 HR spans, happy days, I do at least 6 HR now.

All gone to save councils money in upkeep and staffing
