Our office is okay. Excess parcels but very few letters nowadays. Don't always complete, but it's easy enough to catch up the following day. Monday and Tuesday are a joke frankly; they need to find a way to split the workload better.

We have a specific state of the art piece of expensive software called the DTFT or delivery traffic forecasting tool, it takes last year's traffic, adds a pinch of letters decline, a dash of parcel growth, a soupçon of mail centre live info, throws the whole thing into a mixing bowl and comes up with a dog's dinner that bears no relation at all to what comes through the door.

I think they paid a lot of money for the software.
A dartboard would have been a wiser investment.

We used to get traffic forcasts on a daily brief sheet each day, but haven't had one since covid.

Traffic forecasts in MCs are just as s**t. I could get Excel to pick me a random number between two values and it'd probably be more accurate. AFAIK the traffic data we send to DOs doesn't do part fills anymore

Now at 3 days worth. Been cutting off all week, no help from management. Just told not to prep the work I brought back in to the frame and take it as is with whatever tracked/specials from today on top. Because adding more to a workload I’m already struggling with means I’ll 100% be able to finish it all.

Absolutely stupid, and these lot are on £30k?!

Why are you on here.

All you have to do is work your hours, it’s that simple.

Yes they are on £30000+ but you could be if you apply to be manager, but all you do is moan.

Do you not get the idea of a forum.

One of the ideals of RMC is to allow posters to let off steam, please indulge them. Of course, moaning about moaning is an ironic statement.
