Think Stan is rolling with the punches and coming out fighting in the guise of GRS. Was waiting for some attempt at defending the piddly little issues I brought to everyone's attention in my initial post and lo and behold the ego has landed. A slobbering sycophant who gets preferential treatment from his manager deserves to be outed and not just turned a blind eye to. So if you feel that there's a culture of secret whispers then that's probably because it's justified given that you have in the past, are currently and will in the future get preferential treatment from your Manager. What you do to reciprocate is anyone's guess but there ain't no thing as a free lunch.

Fair comment, should really know better than to post on a Saturday night if you get my drift. Unstable as a newt might have been a more appropriate reply.

It doesn't really surprise me though that Stan exists not only in my DO but in many other places throughout the business and probably everywhere else in life when opportunity arises. Gonna leave it at that and try to follow Woody's advice on a different thread to accept that it is what it is and do my best not to let it wind me up or affect me. Too much.

Makes them all look easy, but doesn't do door2doors or awkward delivery points.

Is stan the man who tells me my duty is easy even though there's a new housing estate getting built on it and then tells the manager that I'm complaining my round is too long but that's because I'm just slow and it doesn't need testing

Spends plenty time in manager's office so yes I would imagine that is discussed.

Nothing that Stan doesn't know about the inner goings on at his DO courtesy of his "special relationship" with DOM

There's a few stans in our office. And then there are many others who are self interested and self absorbed trying to belittle others to improve their own street cred in their office.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.
