There is no reason for "Your friend" to do this unless they are not doing the job a prescribed. If it happened everyday your DOM will rightfully be suspicious as to why "your friend" and only your "friends" PDA keeps failing, regardless of which PDA "they" take.

Tell your "friend" to behave as they will bring themselves and the rest of us into disrepute. Management already think we are lazy work shy sloths so let's not give them ammunition.

Hide your PDA somewhere safe, go about going about your business elsewhere. When they ask you why your PDA was stationary for half an hour tell them you left it on a doorstep by mistake.

Agree with this. You can't beat the technology in the long term. Yeah the odd day or so you could say the PDA died, but you wouldn't get away with that for long. It is useful to know however how much this technology is used. Wisdom is power and all that :Very Happy

And ask why you didn't actually do any work while it was misplaced - some people are asking to be sacked! :arrrghhh

I'm just up for messing with RM's attempt to monitor us. Bend the knee if u want. I for one will try to obstruct a company trying to take any joy left out of this job.

According to the post below dated 28 Dec 2018, 'Trail' is an ex-postie but still here offering excellent gems like this above.

Hey Rico - you don't need to implement a redundancy scheme, we've got ex-colleagues who can help get rid
of staff for you by posting 'advice' for others on here.

I'd only sign for specials if I knew the customer would allow me.

I never got into trouble once.

I always tell my postman to sign for anything. It's all about knowing your customers.

Risky move imo and there's no reason why you need to do this.
Well "maybe" my battery just failed. No way to prove this could not happenfilezilla rufus. Also PDA's often crash/freeze up , and battery removal is the only way to re-boot.

Just sayin
if you put on low battery mode the pda will only do basic actions. not much different to phone on low battery mode ,
